This is excellent! I've been an AA for 2 years and recently promoted to the EA position, supporting the CEO. This is not flashy, but if you are an EA, you've got to listen to this. I had to stop and re-listen to several statements. Alicia covers the core principles that will make you a fantastic EA in any organization. I'm glad I found you Alicia, and will definitely watch again when I need some inspiration.
Thank you! I was offered an EA role with my employer and I have never done this before. People have told me that I would be great at due to how organized I am. I am hoping so now that I am going to be doing this role.
Thank you so much for this. I am applying for an EA role in my company - I hope I get it! - and your tips are phenomenal. I will definitely exercise these tips when I get the role!
Excellent video, covered all the basics with very insightful tips and pro-advice for the role and function; As an EA with my 4 yr anniversary this month, these are always good reminders; Absolutely personal care is essential to a top performance
Thanks a lot Alicia for these video tips. I have applied for an administrative assistant jib and it's my first time working the in that capacity. This is a really great way to start. Thank you so much
Thank you for this great video. I am a very confident EA, with my Executive and board members, and have been for 30+ years. When it comes to social events(dinners, Gala, etc.) that I am invited I lose my confidence as I feel that I am not on the same playing field as the board members. Do you have any suggestions on how to not be so anxious about small talk?
Hi Alice, I cannot get enough of your videos, they are so helpful. You mentioned you have an online Executive Assistant network group. Which one is it? I am in a location where I do not think we have one. Thank you so much for your tips.
how to handle a toxic boss? Whatever u try to do, if he pushes you down?Getting things done making you stay late and shout at you in the morning. Please guide.
I was recently told I would be assisting as an EA and I am finding it difficult to adjust as I am still expected to do tasks from my old position. I am watching these videos to find efficiency tips; I am physically tired.
Hey Beth, saw you just posted this and thought I’d give a reply. You can do it! My advice is to set boundaries in asking for a clear job description for what you will be handling. Being expected to do the full load of 2 jobs (or even 1.5 jobs) is tasking (and yes tiresome), it’s more efficient for the company to have you focus on one role that you prefer. 💛👍🏻 Goodluck!
Assertive training, outline what you want to say with transition plan and stay focused when you meet with the boss. Transparency and boundaries are key
