Hey lovelies, I hope you are all doing well. I have done a little video on how I recovered from exercise obsession/addiction and how I slowly introduced light exercise into my recovery without it becoming compulsion. I hope this is useful.
Hi, my name is Tia and I started this RU-vid channel in order to help others and also hold myself accountable through eating disorder recovery. I have been in recovery from anorexia for about 2 and a half years. I post content about breaking food rules, challenging fear foods and my top tips for recovery.

thank you for this! Do you recommend stopping walking to? I have a habit of walking 30-40 minutes daily and feel guilty if I dont do it. Would you consider walking as exercise, and is it okay to just sit all day and do nothing in recovery or should I do some movement?

I’m my opinion (please check in with your ED support teamwhat is right for you) Yes its 100% ok for people to not do anything in recovery - sometimes it’s very needed to get back to physically where they need to be and to break all the rules the Ed has made. I’m working towards no rules, no guilt and only enjoyable movement that does not have a negative effect on my recovery. Everyone in life will have times when they are in all day eg unwell or hanging out with friends and I want to be able to manage that. Good luck and well done for being honest and challenging your ‘rules’ its not easy but necessary for recovery xx
