LSWR Exeter to Exmouth branch line 

Edd Just watches Okehampton to Halwill and Okehampton to Bude , they gave me so much pleasure I can't thank you enough. In a world that is so sad at the moment watching your videos has really lifted the gloom. Thankyou again. I will watch out for more.

I grew up in Topsham and have many happy memories of using the line to go to Exeter, Exmouth and St James Park to watch Exeter City. Lovely video.

Very interesting! Thanks. My grandparents lived in Exeter when I was a kid, my grandad working at Exmouth Junction. My grandmother occasionally took us to Exmouth for a day at the seaside, taking the train from one of the bay platforms at Exeter Central. I remember Woodbury Road becoming "Exton" and the comparatively large terminus at Exmouth accommodating trains for both the Exeter and Sidmouth Junction lines. The locomotives were mostly BR Class 3 2-6-2Ts, but we did sometimes get one of the older Southern Region tank engines. (An M7, I think.) When I took a DMU to Exmouth a few years later, it was saddening to see the single track simply go to the buffers and stop. There was no junction, no yard, no run-round loop, no other track at all. 🙁 But it's good to know the line's still seeing regular traffic today.
