Repairing a smoking and oil burning 5.3 Sierra by NOT replacing the valve stem seals #wrenchingwithkenny #keepwrenching #chevytrucks #gmctrucks #lsengine
Hey dude thank you so much. I knew that my valves were good I had those looked at. But the guy didn't know anything about this valve cover thing!! Appreciate it so much!!
I just replaced the valve cover in my Chevy 05 Silverado because it was having the same issue. I’m going to give it a few days and watch it to see if it gets better. Thank you for the video!
Did this fix the issue? I just inherited a 2005 Silverado and puffs a big blue cloud when warmed up and idling for too long. I thought it would be the valve seals too. But this seems to be a faster fix. Please let me know!
What was name or part number or proper valve cover identification? I definitely want to order one. So what magic words helps me find fixed valva cover?
So my lifter is bad right now it just Throws itself a bit in the first gear before getting to 10 mph or so will replacing the valve cover help as well?
Will this also cause the vehicle to shake? I’m thinking about buying a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Has smoking coming out, smells like oil, and shakes/jerky has lights on dash
We have a 2007 chevy suburban ltz that smokes white out of the tail pipe when you start it up. Doesnt do it everytime but when its sitting for a while. Oil and coolant looks good. Any ideas? No lights are on and runs fine.
I try to do that with my new videos. Back then, it never dawned on me to add part numbers. I didn't use any parts on this truck, though. Is there some particular you need help with?
I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado when I accelerate the truck a little bit of white smoke comes out the back but water also comes out I don’t have any catalytic converters though. Do you think you can give me anything I need to look for or change thank you.
besides a smokey exhaust on startup and losing a bit of oil is there any up sides to installing one of these is there anything wrong with keeping the original on?
