They didn't just do an HOMAGE to the 90s, they basically transported us back. I didn't like this song very much at first listen but watch them live and you can feel how much they enjoy it. They totally won me over.

So, I cannot hit Hyerin's note (healthily), but I can hit the octave lower and I THINK it is an E6 that fell to a C#6. (DAYUM) Also, would you consider that a whistle note, though it sounds like the head voice technique. Also, THANK YOU. I've been getting better at recognizing different musical changes and techniques due to watching your channel.
Ocie Grimsley not really...from my understanding the whistle register is a completely different register that's hard to access without proper training, and even then it takes a lot to maintain. I'm not familiar with any kpop idols who can actually whistle as opposed to hitting up to E6s with a healthy head voice (i.e. Hyerin here), but a classic example is Mariah Carey in her early career (see "Emotions").

You know you're a fan when you correct your friends: "It's E X I D not EXID". Their B sides are all so worth it, my favorites are Boy, A sul hae (Great harmonization) and No way. I hope you consider a video reviewing those songs, they're great.

I think the wind story was to cover up a very bad flute player. ;-). Took me a couple of listens to get into this new song by EXID. I class myself as a Leggo and I'm very proud of LE who wrote this song.

I feel like a lot of kpop songs have very simple choruses because that can make it easier to remember, or more catchy. The fun and interesting verses make the song better/more artistic and then the simple chorus gets stuck in our heads because it's easy to remember.

The wind is fighting with 혜린's (*) voice but leggo's fake maknae won. This song is so 90s and I really like it (got the album today!). It's different from so many other groups and also different from their other comebacks in the past. That's what I appreciate - versatility. I missed your reaction to DDD and watched it just now. There's so many people correcting you on the pronunciation of EXID. But FYI, it's actually pronounced "X I D" since the "EX" is the first syllable of the word "exceed." Then the rest is an acronym for "in dreaming." EXceed In Dreaming. If you listen to how they pronounce it themselves, they always leave out the "E." Edit: Nvm, I was wrong.
