The year is 1997. You have just finished watching the movie The End of Evangelion. You turn on Exit Music (for a film) by Radiohead because today, we escape. (and yes I am an exclusively evangelion AMV creating channel now)

This really does capture the feeling of sheer defeat, despair and bitterness of this characters and the series while hinting at the supposed “everlasting peace” the Third Impact is bringing.

@@KanadaJinThank you very much. I try my best. Honestly, this show seems to be a proverbial goldmine of visuals for all different kinds of music. Tame Impala, Beach House, Pink Floyd, Low Roar, and, of course, Radiohead. I’ve even seen one person use Fantansie Impromptu and another use “Ocean Man” by Ween (when they really could’ve used “Tried And True”). If you’re ever looking for songs to use, two weird ideas are “Haji Awali” by Yumi Zouma and “Sextape” by Deftones. The lyrics and spacey sounds are just begging for the right visuals to sync to.

@@callmev3531 I know right?? I literally have a playlist that is almost 9 HOURS worth of songs I think could be a good fit for an Evangelion amv hahaha, more than I could ever use, and they run the gamut of genre! And I'll check those out, maybe I'll add 'em to the list lol.

@@KanadaJin Yeah Radiohead just makes some of the most cinematic music. This song was used in black mirror and tons of Radiohead songs were used in Westworld. They were orchestral versions too and it sounds like they were actually composed for an orchestra, that’s the quality of composition Radiohead has

@@srednas16 this song was composed for the end of 1996's movie Romeo and Juliet! The director had them watch the last twenty minutes and compose a song based on it. The name "exit music (for a film)" is a little on the nose lol. But yeah, so many Radiohead songs are cinematic.

@@SteventheOtaku I forget. Probably not long. My amvs are usuallyyyy made in a couple days/week from a burst of inspiration, or else they are left unfinished forever lol. I got so many unfinished amvs in the vault. I'm one of those lazy creatives that wait for inspiration to strike 🤷‍♀️

tbh i didn't like evangelion that much, except for few scenes. In the later episodes it got better peaking at end. And the movie was the masterpiece. Tbh for me anime series (not movie) is 7/10 or maybe even 6.5/10 but the movie is 10/10

⁠@@Lord-.-69SPOILERS: he (shinji) is taken to an Eva (robot battle machine), and is told he has to use it to save the world from angels attacking the earth. Blah blah blah, we find out everyone has trauma and blue hair is named rei. Orange hair is named Asuka. I’ll skip ahead 5o avoid most spoilers, they get smarter then when they are about to die, rei takes over god, and destroies the world leaving only shinji and Asuka. The end.
