Agree with most of what you said. Good for young pros to know how exit typically goes. 2 big things to remember is the importance of the CPA certification and also your professional network. Don’t be surprised if someone you know in industry creates a position for you at their company.

Agree 100% on the best place to start your accounting career is public accounting. The vast amount of skills acquired in just 7 busy season for myself still blows my own mind. Leaving as an Audit Manager myself presenting MANY opportunities in the market - landed with an Accounting Senior Manager role for a fast growing IT company. Still presenting lots great opportunities. Hope you are loving your new job!

I haven’t been as active on your channel so maybe you already have a video on it but what is your current job title/description? Your description sounded really cool.

I’m a CPA for 4 years now and I have a 6 figure income and I’ll tell you what, the whole CPA and public accounting thing is a big joke unless you have your own firm you will never make big money. And I’m talking here about 99% of CPAs.

What if I’m starting accounting at 32? Lol it sucks but I got a late start in life so now I’m doing whatever I can to play catch-up financially with other people my age. You think I should just stick it out in tax until I hit manager or close to manager and find a better paying job?

Also you're only 32... no need to feel like you're behind at all!! Trust me! I have met plenty of people in my career that didn't start until much later in life and are doing great!! Don't compare where you are at with others.. were all on our own journey. Stay the course
