Chanyeol wrote Chill and gave us rapper Kyungsoo and Chen wrote Touch It, and they worked with Baekhyun to write Ko Ko Bop. This album was full of EXO's colour which is why there was a lot of styles and vibes. My absolute favourite with all the vocals, adlibs and rap.
fun fact: kyungsoo was the one who came out with his part on chill as a rap.. like he was meant to sing it but the producers said he randomly started to do it as a rap just to try I guess and they thought it was so cool so they leave it like that lmao. we love a genius.
Forever was confusing for me at first too. The lyrics really played a part in me liking the song. The lyrics are kinda like the song. At the beginning they're all cute about "you can be my only star" and by the end it's super creepy possessive kind of relationship about "how can u leave me we were meant to be forever" u should check it out
"This album is wild" Which is probably why it's so many EXO-Ls' favorite album, it's super weird + futuristic + retro and you really just don't know what to feel lmao I agree with you though, despite the hype around EXODUS and this album, EX'ACT will always be the best EXO album (in my opinion lol don't come for me)

Sweet Lies is definitely the song that made me an official fan. Exo albums have made me discover them as a group I was very impressed after I heard DMUMT which made go back to their older albums and discover Sweet Lies 😍 you have to keep your promise about the rap if we reach a thousand 😂
You dont have to do a reaction but you could also check out ldn noise's breakdown for some of the songs they produce for exo. You can appreciate the harmonies and those little background sounds a little more in those. They usually do it during kcon so there's only fancams but it's still great 👌👌

yes it is a Greek melody in ''diamond', I'm from Israel and we have looooooooot of inspiration and affectation in our music from there, and from all over the midle-sea countries, and that kind of melody sound exactly like the sounds I could of hear in every song here in Israel. and not only Greek but also little bit of Turkish melody... so beautiful. I was shock lilltle bit, when I heard it for the first time.

firstly, i love that you appreciate the west coast funk bass line in boomerang 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 it’s interesting what you think about the war vs exact tho bc i feel the exact opposite lol. i feel like the war is literally all over the place (electro, reggaeton, funk, r&b, hip hop in diamond and chill) and that’s why it’s good but not my favorite and exact is waaaay more cohesive sonically and musically and in terms of tone and pace, which is why i like it more. but i do agree that they are very different in terms of flow which is why fans are usually divided in which one they like best. can’t wait for you to react to cbx, especially blooming days. thanks for taking the time to share with us!
Jaime Midgyett I mentioned this but maybe I didn’t explain it well enough, I think the tracks themselves are kinda all over the place but vibe wise each song blends well one after the other .. they’re pretty ‘loud’ and ‘intense’ with the majority having an electronic driven chorus! Where as Ex’act had a much wider range of genres, each song was almost a completely different vibe! (Perfect for my eclectic ears) You’d go from Lotto to She’s dreaming then Artificial Love to Stronger! Each of those songs are for completely different moods whereas almost every single song on The War stayed consistent with the mood/vibe ! Well, for me at least! There were only 2 songs on The War I could chill and relax to whereas EX’ACT was a lot more varied! 💕
I remember the first time this album was released I honestly cried this album was soooo different they basically did many genre so everyone would at least like a song there are songs you won’t listen to usually but exo made every single thing in this album a freaking masterpiece I’m so in loveeeeee

It was a learned journey for me as well when it first came out, but quickly became a very loved album, beyond experimental, and the mayhem in the new songs took me over, oh....what didn't I love? Such great "make you move" songs, just overwhelmingly jamming. And then watching these songs live, oh god, talk about happy happy happy...💖💜💛💙💚

wild is definitely a good way to describe this album ! none of the songs are what you expect them to be like you think they're gonna do one thing but then they do a complete 180 and go in the opposite direction and you almost feel like you can't keep up 😳 when the album first came out and i listened to it i honestly couldn't even tell if i liked it or not i just sat there in silence like 'what the fuck just happened ?' and i had to listen to it a couple more times to actually form my opinions haha

We got the same all-time Fave, Sweet Lies 💓 Ksoo falsetto is to die for! My other two faves are: 2. Diamond - its uniqueness made me love it so much and its live stage is so mythical and gorgeous for me 😍 3. Forever - Ksoo runs “yeah yeah yeah” is everything. The rap part is fire too. If it isn’t pretty much obvious Im a trash for Kyungsoo. I miss him so much 🥺 I hope you can do reaction vid on their live performances in the future. I can’t wait for it! My favourite EXO album! Out of absolutely all the songs that EXO has this album (including the Repackage) has 6 of my "Top 10 Favourite EXO songs - Ever!" (there are 16 songs in my Top 10! Lol!) Diamond and Ko Ko Bop are my (joint) number one favourite EXO song, along with Monster. Diamond's Middle Eastern vibes are what make me love it so much! I wish EXO would do more of this! I have Diamond as a ringtone but I often forget to answer it because I'm too busy vibing along!!
