This song is about fighting depression.. It is a dialog between the person and their inner voice that tries to take over with depressive thoughts.. The melody suits the lyrics perfectly in my opinion.. It is both seductive and eerie.. Choreo of the song is also so good for that reason.. And it is quite unique..

jekyll is about the famous novel "strange case of dr. jekyll and mr. hyde" so that sus line is about their alter ego possessing them lmao, i'm dead 😭 and if you remember, they were also fighting their evil sides (exo vs x-exo) in obsession, it's all part of the exo lore! 💓 thank you for reacting

Yes, it’s called “fan chant” the management prepared it and doing the fan chant in South Korea is norm, hence watching music shows you would hear parts of the song lyrics chanted by fans. I do love the album Obsession, it’s really different. Also, the reason why they’re only 6 here was, Kyungsoo and Xiumin was in Military and Lay still in China. This was their last group concert before their official hiatus due to military enlistment. Thank you for always reacting to our equally talented boys.

Kai's fancam to this performance is one if his viral ones 😌 You mixed out Chanyeol & Sehun. Chanyeol is the one with the half red half black jacket and Sehun whole black outfit. EXO indeed are massive because their b-sides are just as amazing as the title songs! And yes they do mostly make choreos for all b-sides that they perform except for the ballads... well some of the slow songs also have choreos, that's just how EXO excel

There are some songs you need to be in the mood to enjoy - then there are songs that take you to their mood no matter how you feel at the start. Jekyll grabs you by the throat, wraps around your heart then doesn't let up. It gets in your head. Thankfully, even though it is about fighting your inner demons, the performance is so incredible, it can't help but be up-lifting. Peace out.

"Why are u pushing me away? I'm already in u" is about the x-Exo (evil clones made by the red force) that got inside them. Exo has this concept in which they are aliens from a planet called Exoplanet, have superpowers, and the evil red force who's trying to take their superpowers and kill them. So all of their MVs are connected. All the MVs are showing the things happening and they are continuing till now. In the Obsession, MV Exo is fighting X-Exo who are the clones made by the red force. In the MV the people with the colourful clothes are X-Exo and black clothes are the real Exo (These are theories. This concept is not directly confirmed by them. Just some parts and if u watch the MVs in order u could understand something )

Been meaning to tell you, Oohmaya channel has lyric videos that actually says who are making adlibs and harmonies correctly.. it doesnt have a lot of EXO songs tho.. but I think it has the last 3 albums of EXO if I am not mistaken.. the owner of the channel is also Cesar Oh.. the one who makes the good individual members' guides. When i first listened to Jekyll, i liked it sooo much!a strong dark song...but when i saw the live fancam with the choreography i liked it even more...some of their moves like they are dolls...baekhyun part where kai moves like his personality is changing....sooo amazing choreography... But Kai version in his Kloor concert was soooooo damn good!! No wondered he really liked this song when the album got out...the concept really fits him!

I see you are playing with B-sides. Yaaay. Every B-side sounds different but still the same sound from EXO. This Obsession album has a great concept tho. Where EXO and X-EXO (clones created by the red force) battle it out (see the two versions on Obsession MV? EXO wearing all black outfits, X-EXO wearing flashy tight leather). On Jekyll tho, I don't know if this is really the meaning but in my opinion, as I was reading the lyrics, it focuses on Dr. Jekyll and Hyde. You know, the person with the dual personalities, a respected doctor (who also plays on the dark side of science, maybe an evil scientist ehehe) and evil being suppressed by Dr Jekyll. I thought about it when I when I was reading the part of "Why are you pushing me away, I'm already in you", so I assumed the evil within is Hyde. (I hope I'm kinda right lol) There are only six members here because Xiumin and D.O were enlisted in the military at that time, and Lay is active in solo activities in China. And yep! XIULO is coming!!! P.S--gotta love Chanyeol's raspy singing voice. It's just fire. (like his power eh? lol)
