Hi Jamie, It's Sinis. I put it on my wall but when i listened this song, i stopped to breath and i cried. My heart was touched by the music. It was really powerful and wonderful... I don't have any word to describe these feelings I felt... Wow! I wish I discovered you earlier so I can listen to your covers! Anyway, I can still listen to it although I have become really busy these days. I promise to find time and relax myself with your covers. Gosh! I'll promise to myself that as soon as I receive my cousin's violin, I'll look back to your channel and simply learn from you. I would be glad if I can accomplish just a single song by ear for the mean time.(Even though it would take time as it is hard to play by ear with the violin.) :) I found myself an idol in violin playing! I have *Reynah* for my _"piano inspiration"_ and now, I have *you, OMJamie* for my _"violin inspiration"._ Anyway, I am looking forward for more K-Pop covers though :) If you have time, I wish you could cover December, 2014 of EXO, too...oh! Only if you have time but if you're busy, then that's alright. There's always a next time.

***** I have missed your question before :P I play by ears, but not totally. I usually start with music sheet and then improve it by ears. The reason is, music sheet is just showing the notes, but it can never show the emotion and groove for the pop songs. To me, music sheet is like lyrics for singer. After a singer knows the lyrics, he has to find the way to sing it or even improve the way or melody he sings it. I would remake the notes to suit I think the song would fit, and add the emotion and presentation which is beyond description of words to the music.
