Yes I’m MutliFandom And your point being Not trying to defend anyone because the colourist mentality in Asia disturbs me greatly as a person of colour too but I think at that point their society wasn’t as educated as it is getting now. People learn things from society. Unfortunately Korea is one of the countries that took long to understand that some things like this are offensive and unacceptable. In some areas they are still as close minded as they were before. I watched a Hello Counsellor episode about a black man living in Korea and I was so angry I couldn’t breathe.

Yes, every single person can be praised to being cool, hot, etc no matters what the skin colour is. But MY POINT is THEY ARE LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKE AND NEVER MENTION ABOUT IT EVER AGAIN. I know ppl hurt abt their jokes, but it was literally when they're still young and colourist awareness not spreading as it is now, especially in Asian which is close abt it. There were times they praised Kai for his visuals + talent in dancing. We should not forget this. But what exo did was wrong. But it happened in the past & now they don't make such comments. They're also human beings and can make mistakes, right? :)
I actually like idols with the darker complexions like kai, minho, lucas, with the tan-ish olive like skin tone, makes them kinda exotic looking and more attractive, they stand out more, they kinda expose their prejudices regarding darker skin tones making fun of kai saying not so nice things but kai himself has said not so nice things about other poc, so they can be unconsciously ignorant, I don’t dislike exo cause of their ignorance but I’m not give it a pass either anyway this funny minus the ignorance
