This is why EXO-Ls have stopped voting for MAMA. It isn't just because of this one incident. It has been happening years before MAMA 2017. This award show was pretty much the last straw :((( The thing is also, it isn't just EXO and SM Ent. who has had a problem with MN3T. Big Bang and YG hasn't been sending their artists to MAMA either because mn3t had also f'ed them over. Even GDragon dissed MAMA WHILE he was rapping live. The video was mnet staff harassing fans since they were trying to leave the venue. It wasn't fanwars or anything since mostly fanwars are happening online. and especially this year it seems like mn3t is trying to become friends with SM again with NCT's case and SM Stans in general are still wary of Mn3t. They have always been known to fk artists over. I hope this year will be different but you definitely will not see EXO-Ls tuning it to that because the day MAMA airs, Xiumin will be released from his military service and I am pretty sure EXO-Ls would rather tune it for that. Actually we are not saying anything about bts... How mama disrespects the exo and exols ... It's not only happen to exo but also big bang...... You can also check votes ..... I’m sorry but the way you didn’t even understand the point of the whole video was kinda disappointing. First of all, MAMAs were supposed to be one of the most prestigious show awards in Korea, is not only fan voting but also many other criterias like digital points, numbers of sells and others. For the fandoms of kpop groups giving an award in that award show or even just get nominated means a lot for their carreer so the whole fandom put every piece of their effort to make the highest amount of votes the fandoms is able to do, you have no idea the big deal this season of the year is for kpop fandoms. As it says in the video EXOL’s were one of the biggest fandom and tried always their best to make EXO win every category, by buying albums, by charting songs, by streaming and voting. But for now we even forget about the many hours and days the whole fandom was waisting to vote that show, EXO as a group were direspect in every way possible and not happy with that they even harassed exols physically. No, EXOLs weren’t “fighting” against the staff of mama/mnet, they were just trying to leave the avenue because they weren’t feeling happy inside there watching the things mnet were doing against our fandom and our idols. That was it and that was the most shocking thing in this whole circus, that’s why EXO cried and exol have a trauma with voting shows, now is really hard to make the fandom vote for anything related to mnet. And I’m sorry, Inknow this seems not like a big deal for you, but as you mentioned too the culture in Korea is different. There fandoms are important, awards are important, selling albums is important and give your support in every way possible to your faves is very much important. You have seen in, Kpop is BIG, in Korea and now outside. So please, if we were asking for the reaction of this video is because it IS important for the fandom and for you (who intend to dive deeper in exo) to understand how the exols move and why. EXO and exols seem to not care much about awards now, our priority is EXO and only the nine of them, at this point of their career the only thing they have is their fandom and we stand for them. Yes, we mention a lot of breaking records and awards and we’re proud of them bc the fandom did beyond their best to help exo get were they are, but that’s not the most important for us. It is a little bit disappointing that you didn’t took the situation in a more serious way, maybe if you read comment or search for more information since kpop has so many things happening that you are not aware, and if you’re uploading these videos to educate yourself and trying to know certain group that’s exactly we, your espectators want you to do. Many exols are not voting for this mama bcoz of the trauma they experienced in 2017. You wont understand if u haven't experienced it. Will never forget how exo and exols got played that night. The emotional trauma that exols went through.........god. And the exos knew thats even more heart breaking. I wasnt there when this happened but everytime something about this pop up my blood boils.

I think you misunderstood this part 15:32. Those weren't fans fighting. Those were EXO-Ls trying to leave the award show after EXO's performance because of the disrespect and the staff not letting them out and trying to keep them in with force and barricades. Many things weren't mentioned, but I want to add another issue. While the staff tried to take the EXO light-stick, they searched the young fans and touched them inappropriately. Many fangirls spoke from deliberate sexual harassment. Just thinking about it gets my blood boiling. I remember when K-EXOL and I-EXO-L were trying to somehow stand up for each other. But we were here and so powerless. Then everything else happened. When EXO sang 'Power' it hit different that time. We swear that we would never let that happen again.
I just remembered during that time that EXO lead every categories they're nominated. But they not even win the awards that actually only give to the most vote. Is it make sense? Of course not. And more sad how they treat EXO-L at the venue. This is not the only case. Other awards too. When they banned us to bring our lighstick and need to use their lighstick. But when EXO performed, the lightstick not function, black ocean. Not enough sit for EXO members. All of this awards shows even change criteria last minute, so EXO can't win or they use that excuse to explain to EXO-L why EXO did not win. They even make EXO-L bought their tickets when they know EXO cannot attend the awards show because of their schedule. Rigged vote, if u think we complaint bcoz EXO did not win but a lot of EXO-L bring their evidences & request explanation, they denied it. And after a few months they apologized and said they make a mistake, when EXO should win. Some awards show even don't want to nominate EXO this year with a stupid excuse bcoz of 1 member left EXO. 😑 Who left? And btw I never heard that u cannot nominate that group bcoz some members left of that group. That's not even true. What an idiot. They said make a mistake again. Our boys even have comeback and their sales, records, but u don't want to nominate them 😑 A lot of things happen actually. They want to stop EXO to win more when they already got a lot of awards. But the important is that our boys deserve to win and we vote, a lot of fans still support them even their fans keep increasing. Is it fair? This video covers many aspects on how Mnet desrespected EXO... - stealing EXO conceots - putting a big "X" on EXO's Mama MV, using a pic of crying Chanyeol to promote their Mama 2019 - making EXO perform in the middle of the event, instead of towards the end in accordance to their seniority -Mnet staff physically hurting EXO-Ls (I was shocked when I saw the video of the Mnet staff using the metal railings to push down on fans onto the floor.) Totally understand why there are EXO-Ls no longer participating in voting awards.

I was literally on Twitter checking tweets during this time while watching livestream, and you can REALLY feel the tension that night!!! It's heartbreaking, really, that even now when I look back at MAMA 2017 I'm still hurt. Also saw some staff tweets that night saying Song Joong Ki (famous actor and close friend of DO, who was also a special host that night) was seen very worried and is aware of what's happening. I cried hard that night because of the disrespect given to EXO. Good thing, EXO is not attending MAMA anymore because FUCK MAMA! They dont deserve EXO's attendance and effort.

Chinese Exo-Ls were beaten by the staffs that wanted to take their lightsticks away (even though ligjtsticks were allowed) and they were mad and disappointed and fckn angry and everyone in the fc knew what happened. Exo knew too. Sehun went on weibo during the ceremony and read all the things cherries were writting. Their stage was cancelled and then moved earlier and they didn't know until they arrived there. Other stuffs of Mama turned off the Mnet lightsticks during Chanyeol's performance (imagine if exo'ls didn't have the aeribongs that those staff wanted to take away). They were pissed and mad and seeing them on stage like this was not something we'd seen before. Even Baekhyun had a numb face. During speech, he asked us not to cry because they received a big award and laughed. That was sarcasm at its finest, if you know him, you get him. Minseok lowkey told mnet they can't stop them no matter how hard they messed with them AND Chanyeol was crying... like he usually DOESN'T, and not because he was super happy and excited, he really didn't expect anything good. He was grateful and he felt sorry for us. They knew the fans wanted to leave but stayed and cheered for them. Yes, we're stressed over a month for nothing. We worked hard to be beaten, robbed and to see Exo mad on stage. It's okay for us not to win those awards if we had ACTUALLY lost but the proof says 'NO. After they received that one award, exo being the old exo, managed to bow 90 degrees and suho still thanked exo-ls proudly. finally I'm early now hehehe, btw I will never forget MAMA 2017, it brokes my heart everytime I remember what Mnet did to EXO! And this is the reason why I don't vote on MAMA now.
EXOLs are known to be monster when it comes to votings, but really after that MAMA 2017, almost half of the fandom are not voting anymore up till now. But there are still fanbases that encourage EXOLs to still vote for EXO, the reason why EXO is still among those on top when it comes to voting. But only if things like this didn’t happen before, i think EXOLs really are on top when it comes to votings up till now. Also SM and mnet don’t have good relationship since even before, like after mnet robbed Girls’ Generation (SNSD), SM literally stopped bringing their artist to MAMA after that for years and it happened again after that MAMA 2017 happened. YG too stopped bringing their artist to MAMA because of it being rigid show, i guess it’s been 4 or 5 years already. This year, SM might be back and i don’t know for YG.

I always will think that the bigger the fandom is, the toxic it might be. So exactly the things that you say now, hace turned the other side, I have seen a lot of this behavior of that fandom that you say that praise others. But I don´t go and comment about that on a video that talks about that idol group and that fandom cause at least there are manners and respect. As the video said it was literally the worst day for EXO´ls and I just think that you are doing this in a way to express your disconfort and the typical the "karma" word. I just hope that you don´t catalog a whole fandom for what some of chinese or korean fans did at that time. I personally have been not a fan but i do stan wanna one for a while and I still follow them in their solo works as singers and actors. As a said I personally didn´t have known someone from that other fandom the way you discribe it but i assume that there should be as I hope that you assume that there are well behaved EXO-ls. I just find your comment innapropiate in this specific time and in this specific video. Probably you don´t know as part of other fandom, but we exo-ls have gone throught a lot, it has been hard for us the leaving members, the lack of promotion, the lack of protecion from the company itself to EXO and the fact that they are literally puting them on a side, other call exo-ls who still want that other members quit (Jongdae and now chanyeol for an scandal that was all fake and that that fandom literally was calling it karma and laughing about), the group that is in hiatus but is receiving that rude comments ("flop", "that their prizes were bought", that they can not sing, and those are the most harmless ones. They say we are one, but i have never feel this fandom that divided, so I am a little overwhelmed hope you don´t mine. For all of these that is why I am telling you that reading this after watching this video just make me feel worse, hope you think about it.
Korean Exo ls are crazy,they are obsessive i'm telling u.But it's inevitable for BTS,bcoz those years were when EXo and BB was the big groups.BUt BTS keep on breaking down the walls.First they outsold Big bang in album sales in 2015,they were accused of chart manipulation,then 2016 came and all their songs were hit(blood sweat n tears,spring day,Fire) domestically and internationally.ANd wings album .whew.NO wonder they got all the hate.

this was one of the worst days of my life being on fandom, seeing all of our effort being thrown away and yet the boys being disrespected the way they were was the end of mama for me, it was never the same. People may even think it's drama but only those who were on twitter knew how sad we were. but they held on and stayed until the end in that place.

26:40 the fandoms weren't fighting. It was that exols were tryna go home because it like the event has no point to watch anymore, it's like they weren't gonna let exo win any award. I think you don't understand the struggle, but it's okay. Please, keeping in your mind it isn't about bts or other idols, is about Exo and exols became disrespect by this award show. Isn't only exo: 1. Because seventeen have they award robbed too (Hit era), it's about dance and it just not fair (Blame Mama and not the other bg). 2. Bigbang (G dragon) also is treat so rude; He even make a diss to Mnet and Mama. 3. Mama don't respect the status the senior and rookie for some idols (ChungHa have a short performance, even a rookie have more time). 4. Making giant performance and tiny performance for determined idols (like, oneus performance is just so small and it's not because they're rookies, it make me sad). 5. And we have other idols too, who is treat badly, is not only about award. 6. Some idols are just ignored (for me), like: Loona, Sf9, Golden child, CLC, Astro, Pentagon, Monsta X, Day6, Winner, Ikon, The boyz, VIXX, Dreamcatcher and Gfriend (the most). 7. Is not that deep, but mama confiscated the got7 table, because they are playing with the bottle of water, like I see every idols doing that and nobody is confiscated. But Got7 is better and play in the floor. They are so done with mama. Blame Mama and not the groups! For me, I hope the idols stop attend this show, is so disgusting and not really fair. So ....That is not EXO permanent place neither is for BTS as well. I always remember how hard I had been voting for that year.. Mnet make new changes on the voting side where Mnet account is not available anymore and changes to 10 type of social media platform login. And I'm so crazy that I created 2-3 account for every single platform and join the China EXO-L for voting. voting everyday nonstop till the voting end. Tweeting the hashtag using 2 accounts through the whole red carpet and watching the whole shown from beginning till end... I was keep murming EXO when theu are giving away the awards that EXO nomanies when watching live on TV..and all is given to others.. till the last hope and when they receive the AOTY they cried I cried.. It was like a relieve to everyone that they actually bring the one they deserve home..😭

at that time I was not yet an exol, and when I found out about this and saw the real evidence of the result to be honest I was very confused and very disappointed even though I didn't vote at all at that time, I know from other exol and I can felt their deep disappointment at that time, naturally they were disappointed with the event until now, who wants their idol to be like that? there isn't. But that was all over already, we were already hurt. And now there will be another MAMA, where many exol will not vote anymore because of this.

On that day exo was almost leading in 4 to 5 categories but you know what that MAMA just awarded them with only one that too best selling artsit of the year..... And mistreated with exols.... Exo is the one of the strongest group who won't tear up in any situation..... Even though how emotional they feel inside they won't cry cos they don't wanna make exols unhappy and sad..... The famous actor sing joongki said exo cried backstage on that day.... Even he mentioned d.o his friend cried seeing exols mistreatment how badly mama treated exo and exols..... D.o is most strongest member in exo he won't tear up in any situation but that time he even can't take that..... From that moment when baekhyun said exols you can rest now..... And they said don't vote for them anymore and on any category you are our awards we don't need anymore awards..... We got enough awards.... From that day exols never voted for mama....still some are voting cos we used to be called as voting monsters.... Most of exols stopped voting exo....
