@@troypatterson8568yes but i feel like bathory definitely defined the sound, especially on “The Return”, Venom was still thrash metal, but Quorthon’s vocals and riffs definitely inspired later Norwegian black metal.
@@marioncarbonell6047 Depends on who you talk to. Most people consider Metallica the first thrash band, but how could they be the first thrash band if Venom pre-dates Metallica if Venom are thrash? I consider Venom first wave Black Metal. If anything Venom have more of a right to call themselves Black Metal then any band that came after them, because they were the first band to publicly say that the music they play is Black Metal.
I saw this concert in Salt lake city! It rocked!! They hammed it up when they played this song there too only Gary started with Raining Blood "kind of appropriate!" I was in the Navy when this song came out. The ship was in Philadelphia Navy yard and I was able to go to a show there "I think it was the trockadero.. don't know how its spelled" Anyway.. I was in the pit having a blast when they started this song. The pit collapsed from the crowd rushing the stage.. There was 1 step down that I got pushed over when everything started to spring back.. the problem was my feet were stuck there so I went down.. I had like 20 people on top of me when the pit magically opened up.. 2 skin heads were in there kicking there feet and I was at the bottom of the pile.. One got close and I didn't want to get kicked in the face so I reached out and pulled him down.. The second on came a kickin too close so I pulled him down too lol! Eventually I got pulled back up and went right back in the pit! Man I loved youth!
When they played this during Dynamo Metal Fest this year the crowd went nuts. 🤘Headbangers, slampits, crowdsurfers all over the place, awesome! Wall of death came during Strike of the "fucking" Beast and I also went crowdsurfing at age 55, lost my glasses, found them later, totally broken lol. Exodus rules, my #1 Thrash Metal band! 😈
I was front row and got backstage passes for the 1989 MTV Headbanger's Ball in Danville Illinois featuring ANTHRAX(state of euphoria) HELLOWEEN(keeper of 7 keys) and EXODUS(fabulous disaster). The second the lights went off, the crowd charged the wooden barricade and it instantly collapsed into a thousand pieces.
Es que Exodus es thrash metal de alta calidad. Nunca me canso de escucharlos. Lo mismo me pasa con Pro-pain mas alla de los gustos hablamos de la excelencia en la musica.
Bro why are you filming the full song. Thats whats ruining Metal right now. Just enjoy the concert and stop filming. But still Exodus kills it as always, especially Gary fucking Holt
