Many processes that happen in daily life, give out heat or take in heat, for example, respiration, photosynthesis, etc. Let's categorize them as exothermic or endothermic reactions.

Digestion isn't a chemical reaction; it is a process- the process of breakdown of food. But during that process we might have a lot of chemical reactions going on. Some might be endothermic, and some exothermic. But i haven't studied enough to give you some examples. Your question, However, is curious and interesting because you are trying to see the connection between biology and chemistry- a good thing for a mind,indeed!
