This is true. I have run a car hauling company for a couple years now and I've been researching how to get into the waste industry. Like you said, waste is forever, it has to be taken away no matter the economy. Also like you said, you never see black people in that industry (as an owner). I think a lot of blacks, myself included, get caught up in the flashy and fast cash. Depending on the specialization in the waste industry it can be very lucrative even though it doesn't have the glamour.
@@DCB1209 right I’ve seen plenty of drivers for every waste company I’ve come across yet never heard of a black owned company…ik it’s very lucrative because I’ve worked for one dumping cans on a rear loader at $100 a day…no experience & I started the same morning…driver pay was starting at $175 a day for less than 8 hours of work…plus it has to be done and just in my area (Baltimore metro) there are a bunch of companies from big ones like republic & wm to smaller family owned companies…me myself I’ve been thinking about cannabis waste now that we have a legal market here…waste must be the side of trucking that’s run by the mafia or sumn lol
If I got it right 1. This guy is a dispatcher. 2. He dispatches his own loads with a customer base he built up from central dispatch. 3. He also leases the trailers to his drivers. So he is a broker / dispatcher.
It won’t stay like this forever tho… truck prices are going down like crazy so if you could get your hands on a good deal truck I think it’s worth it because better days HAVE to come.. it can’t stay like this forever tbh
I have a company with fleet of 3. Don’t dare to open one at the moment. Trucks are crazy expensive, and loads are cheap cheap.The guy said it won’t be like this. He is experience in Logistics industry is 0 😂.
I spoke to the government officials and they said that there's no government regulation that says that Carriers, Shippers or Load boards have to go through Brokers. Carriers and Shippers made an agreement with the devil (Brokers) and now, the Carriers and Drivers are paying for it! All the Trucking Industry have to do is refuse to work with Shippers and Load Boards who only deal with Brokers. Brokers are for International Shipping purposes but they've snuck their way into domestic logistics and they're taking 50-60% of the profits in some cases! We should band together and get rid of Brokers from the Trucking Industry!

How are you not willing to get the right amount of cargo insurance to cover the full value of the cargo? But you claim you make 6 figures a month. Makes no sense. The avg exotic is over $250k. Every Ferrari is over $400k new
Better yet...do you have your MC/USDOT Numbers or do you skirt that too? Just wondering since they aren't on any of the trucks...but them big shiny wheels are. Depending on who he is hauling for he has to provide sufficient amount of cargo insurance on your vehicles that's mandatory. Alot of these guys be cappin anyway
