@@TheExoticBrownSkin yeah and it’s not like I’m trying to diss anyone at all, I just don’t like when ppl try to gaslight us as if we don’t deserve our own safe spaces and RU-vid channels
Yes exotical brown skin r blck women talking down on a mix women like ice spice but they taking side on Cleo the freaken leech stop faking cosplay mix race and biracials
Your channel has helped me tremendously. I am a monoracial black woman who benefits from all 3 isms. I was in denial about my experience with the black community as an exotical. I was othered my whole life because of the way I looked. I have no problem fitting in with non-black and mixed people. If anything, I felt like I related more to mixed black people than monoracial black people. Unambiguous darkskinned black people were the ones who were the most problematic (not all, of course). Thank you for talking about and sharing our experiences. I finally feel seen.
@SuriyaLinhStudios I'm glad we can finally talk about this. The topic was taboo. The only dark-skinned unambiguous black women I get along with are family or the ones without the blackistan mindset.
@@tiffG5893 not blackistan 😂. But yes someone has to make a deep dive into why unambiguous black women don’t mingle with mixed women. I once had a black guy say I’m “too white”
I've also noticed most of bwe channels are created by non-American mostly African women & they take a lot of joy putting down mixed race women & calling us basic.
@@exoticalrants I noticed that too... They're not in proximity with MLS women the way AA women are. That's why a lot of AA women are unsubscribing to the bwe mentality & calling quits on the MLS hate. Because they have to actually look us in the eye & because of American diversity, AA are more fluid & may have more admixture compared to an actual West African. Bwe spaces lost a lot of AA when they became MLS hateful. AA started to realize that they have a looser hair texture, lighter skin, lighter eyes, non black grandparent, thinner nose than a "real" African. 🤣
Omg they get so excited at the chance to drag an exotical. I saw one salivating at the mouth when she was getting ready to talk about ice spice and did the same thing when she was talking about Evelyn. I'm like damn girl I bet your p is wet too. So sorry to say that but it was really weird to see her get so turned on like that 😂
I'm Somali, growing up in England in the 70s and 80s was a challenge. I was sure of my identity, my Africaness, and as I result, I was confident. When I went to university in 1990, I joined the African &Caribbean society. I was told by some of the girls that I wasn't "proper black" due to my straight nose and long wavy "Indian" hair. It really upset me, because I was the sole black kid at school throughout my school life. I wanted to meet other black students.
Relatable. I was SO “pro Black” because I’m West African but I’m generationally mixed with Dutch, Italian and Polish between my parents who are both technically considered monoracially Black but with some European ancestry on both sides. My brother and I came out with more recessive traits in complexion, hair texture , and facial features… therefore people would assume that we were biracial/ had only one African parent. That led to me trying very hard to “prove” my Africaness/ Blackness, growing up in the U.S. and coming around other Nigerians… but I was always met with mean girl energy, unprovoked… or people constantly telling me “you have to be mixed…” and having this weird obsession with my aesthetic. My experiences were full of being fetishized by UABM and/or hated on by UABW lol… I’ve had the best experiences with other Exotical men and women. I’ve retired from my “pro Black” identity and am now “pro Human”… “pro ME” “pro Exotical”… “pro non-haters” … “Pro Confident People” …”Pro Pretty Girls who are actually confident.” The tribalism that exists amongst the BLACK-Diaspora, globally is tiring. Being born and raised in the U.S., definitely created its own set of identity challenges, being Exotical but also being pro-Black… unfortunate but I’ve gotten over it. #SelfPreservationFIRST Thank you for sharing your experience 🙏🏼
I never heard the term Exotical until recently. I'm in my early 40s. Growing up, ppl told me I was pretty, but specified "not regular Black girl pretty." I was compared to Lark Voorhees, Tatyana Ali, and Ananda Lewis. Not that I look like them, but they were popular at the time, and I always knew what that meant. Today, that "look" has been coined Exotical.
I am also in my 40’s and it has been the same for me as well. Been in spaces where I have been told that “ you have to be mix with something” and now I get what they meant.
A few days ago, I was watching an unambiguous vlogger here on YT. Her friend on facetime said she looked exotic after doing her makeup and you could clearly see it gave her a HUGE ego boost. They love to cosplay as us!
Based on my experience another perk of being an exotical is authoritative people like police are nicer, patient and more helpful towards me when I'm in a crisis.
Absolutely. I went to a State Fair last night. I got in completely free. From Parking gate to the Entrance gate. I was friendly and they just let me by two times in a row.
Umm, isn't that part of the reason we're resented? We are able to understand blackness without having to experience the negative side of being black. We should show empathy about stuff like this.
And the truth is that all of us (Exoticals)come from different racial back grounds. We benefit from (Pretty Priviledge).A portion of people says that we (Exoticals)benefit from Colorism , Texturism , Featurism ,.(Exoticals United) im glad you remind them on how we became an (Exotical) , and how the term (Exotical)was given to us as a fetish , preference label. That you decided to flip and transform the term (Exotical)into a pretty priviledge , privilege stacking ,term which we spirtually beautiful benefit from⭐️ (💙 🖤 24/7 👁 🩵)
@@ernestinewilson6209 exactly. We alchemized the term and started our own RU-vid movement . No one can stop us now . We have a whole bunch of channels . I see new ones popping up all the time . They won’t be able to keep gaslighting us for much longer
This is true. I'm highly adaptable. I can get along with anyone from any background. Trouble is that they don't always get along with me🤷♀️ But i don't feel that my problem tho lol
@@AprilHarmony9 yes! Agreed. Me too, I can adapt easily and I don't have a problem with other groups of people nor do I feel inferior to anyone. However I noticed that not having an inferiority complex upsets a lot of people. So both non black & black people will humble me for it! Lol but it's not my problem, it's their problem! ❤️
A lot of women say they get disgusted being called exotic, especially from ⚪ people. They don't like feeling different, I get that "difference" can bring into negative connotation. I think it's a compliment, but I still have to keep my guard up some people can be obsessive. One girl I knew was obsessed with my mixture, she went to show my face from my Instagram to her peers to mention my blackness.
You know that is true , because every sunday i always Herbal Essence wash my hair , and my ambigous cousin friend who is Umambigous rolled her eyes at while i washing , and going through my hair with my hands. And my cousin friend asked is that my real hair and i said yep , im growing out my hair using different hair products. And after i answered her question she left the house. I asked my cousin is her friend ok , she was rolling her eyes at me for no reason. My cousin said to me she is probaly jealous of your , and i was like wow hmm (💙 🖤 👁 🩵)
This is sooo true! I experience this on both sides of my family. The black side are envious and the Latin side are envious too but they have a weird fetish with my blackness as well. Its creepy. I do prefer my black side though because they dont get creepy.
Except for when you come from a MGM family where many of your family members are white passing and far more ambiguous looking than you! Growing up around them, I had no idea I was mixed or considered an exotical until much later when I moved to a different area and I was constantly being questioned or mistaken for every ethnicity under the sun...all later confirmed with a DNA ancestry test.
My father is multiracial and my mother is black. I got my keen facial features from him, and everything else from my mom (no booty tho😭) I consider myself exotic chocolate lol.
I would add that most or all exoticals are exotic by definition b/c they tend to be a mixture of different races or have a look that makes them stand out in a crowd whereas not all "exotic" women are exoticals if that makes sense.
As a black passing multigenerationally mixed woman who is nigerian, Scottish, german, French and irish non black people especially east indians are nicer and friendlier than the uambw and uambm I encounter in my everyday life. I feel happier and comfortable enough to be my nerdy self.
@@Bestlivexg nope she told no lies and I’m half Afro Latina half Indian Caribbean dark skin, I also look very similar to this girl 3:07 almost same skin color very similar features and my hair is 3b/3a.
One of Exoticals challenges is when your family add mixtures are different from each others and everyone act different and have a different experience while they all mixed.
That's why I was confused about some UADSBW calling themselves exoticals on their channels when they know where the term originated. Are they genuine allies, or infiltrating?
I saw one who was genuinely an ally and discussing her experiences having pretty privilege while being unambiguous, so I definitely think not all of them are trying to infiltrate. From what I’ve seen that channel genuinely dismantles a lot of the inferiority complexes many unambiguous women have by sharing her experiences receiving pretty privilege her whole life.
This is a fair question. Speaking for myself only, I personally consider myself an ally to the OG exoticals (mixed/light skinned black women). Even though I consider myself exotical due to being unambiguous+ dark skinned + pretty privilege....which is rare...well society treats me as if it's rare (they are in awe when they see me they act and ask questions as if they never seen an attractive unambiguous dark skinned girl before lols) .
@@divinebeaute yeah I feel like you can tell by their behaviors. If they interact with us and are nice, they’re probably normal. But if they’re mean/rude or talk crap about exoticals will trying to downplay our experiences and simultaneously use our talking points… uh yeah it’s giving destiny swapping
Love this video. Quick story. One time I called the non emergency police line because my brother had been missing a day or two and I was stressed about it. The officer waited in the lobby of my work and he turned around and saw me and said at some point, "Do you believe in live at 1st sight?" I said no. I do not. Never have. But deep crushes, sure, lol. My brother was found safe and he is a brat for that disappearing act. 😩😩
Facts, I love that your talking points are based on majority of our experiences with dealing with our privileges, but also showcasing the trauma. And yes, since we know the experiences that comes with it, we wouldn't put people down so easily. Having the attention is like being a target to whoever wants to aim and shoot.
Long Post Ahead What I have learned being an exotical and around many different races and living in different countires is to stop pedestalizing different races especially white. I am Caribbean with a mixture of latin and black and i used to live in a house with W people as well. I have found W people and my latin side fetishize my looks and my black side are envious (so were the whites and latin tbh) but i never felt as uncomfortable with the black as I did with my other side. I say this to say i have seen the bad side of W people and latins as well. I lived with a W woman and she used to always talk about my skin color and how my face Naturally looked contoured and i would often catch her her sneaking dirty looks at me. One time she even told my partner that she hated walking around with me because it was like walking around with a super model. I found that comment weird because i looked to her as a mother figure and i was like 17 or 18 at the time she was referring to. And my black side idolized my latin side because i come from a well known family in my country but as the person who grew up with the latin side that mentality was very upsetting because they were weird. My latin side creeped me out (mostly the men) because i was direct access to a type of girl they didnt have access to in real life. The girls were just mean which is a part of life. To conclude i realize black people idolize these people and they have no idea of the reality of them. Imo W people and latino people are just as messed up as blacks if not worse. They just hide it better. Thats why im not moved by no man no matter the race because i have seen it all. I always say pick someone who sees you not just your beauty which can be challenging but its better than being with someone who fetishizes you.
Right! Non black people should NOT be put above blackness . Biracial people see the horrible sides of non blackness all the time ! Some of us have racist family members etc so it’s like why would we promote “divesting” and worshipping non blackness? That makes no sense 😂
Hey Ladies, I know this isn't the topic of the video, but has anyone experienced losing they're privilege while being in a relationship and how they got it back? I know EU has spoken about this but I would like to hear from the rest of you ladies as well 😊
Anytime someone asked me about my ancestry, or tell me that I look exotic, I know it's because they cannot figure out my race and it aggravates them 😂 so when I tell them my mama is white but my daddy isnt, its pretty hilarious! I look more white but have dark hair, eyes and skin, like my dad. I'm from Louisiana so my mom is literally Cajun (Scottish, Irish, French) but my dad is Louisiana indigenous, Mexican, Middle Eastern 😂😂😂 my last name is Persian which is even more confusing to most! I used to get aggravated by comments about my race but now I take the opportunity to make fun of the person asking by confusing them even more 😂
I was watching the pop the balloon dating show on youtube episode 20 and there was this whole thing about being lightskin/brownskin can you do a reaction to it? The interaction starts at 8:42
Was it the video where the light skinned women were rejecting the men because they were brown skinned? I think one of them made a comment about them being effeminate to her and she only wanted dark skinned men. It’s so weird how it’s okay to talk about light skinned men like that but you ant reject a dark skinned man for his skin colour.
9:35 I know exactly what you mean by not having any police traumas. I swear black people look at me crazy when I say that😂 I just dont understand the paranoia behind cops being behind you 🤷🏽♀️
That part. I'm remembering a time where there were some cops using profanity while there were children nearby and I told them "Watch your language!" They said "Oh, sorry!" 😂
@@Keo-x3g I'm blasian & I'm considered exotic by EVERYONE! buuuut... this is a female centered space Sir! Maybe MLS men should create a RU-vid space & y'all can ask each other if you're exotic or not...? 😘
Hi pretty girls ❤ I read the title and thought hmmm .. What's the difference between Exoctical s and exoctic ? and then I thought I'd like to add another where I fit ..I am an .EXOCTIC...A...... 😁 here's why 😁as woman in the adult industry my stage name is what you see ..,so what is an exocticA ? As a side bar I made my stage name a few years prior to finding this chanel so when I found you..I was so excited because I felt seen far behind the industry. So thank you EXOCTICALS for creating a space for even a woman like me outside the business ❤❤❤ So what is an EXOCTICA...? ..its a woman who has all the features and or privilege of Exocticals but we are more on the EROTIC side of things hence my stage name EXOCTICA WORSHIP. . Exocoticas tend to be more open with our sexuality AND have a naturally seductive , alluring call towards men kinda like a siren , with a high vibration of sexual energy. And used in the right space it can be safely executed. Lol we exude aka oooooooz lol with Erotism .playfulness and teasing ....NATURALLY ...in other words I often resonate with Romanian women aka "gypsy" women the style of dress , free flowing energy ...the whole "boho " aesthetic or illusion of aesthetic if that makes sense. We also may have different spiritual practices , we might even have been called "witches " and definitely crazy lol 😅 we are also the type of women most men would call hard to tame and we are usually unconventional in our views . We are also the type of women that men would claim we practice voodoo lol yet children and animals are drawn to us because at our core we have a healing Spirit. We are the type that women would not want their husbands boyfriend's or sons around but low key wish they could walk in such seductive powers . We tend to roll solo. And because of the attention we attract. We enjoy moments when we are completely alone. Our friendly out going nature is often mistaken for flirting . ( Well sometimes I do ) Lol any who ... So .... I might be the only EXOTICA here .... But lord knows I found my tribe . 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 So I celebrate!
Im not mixed but I have a mixed background. I get mistreated by my biracial and non biracial family members because of my features would that still make me exotical?
@@purpleelixir Interesting than again everyones environment is different. Especially being raised in the west that is way different compared to other parts of the world. With that being said we will all have different experiences as exoticals
