I've started (slowly) learning Spanish and I'm a year out from being able to move out of the US. I've found that the app Learning Transfer is also a great tool to use to learn another language. I also use Duolingo and watch Nicaraguan vloggers so I can get my ears used to hearing Nica Spanish. Not to worry Scott, I still watch more of your videos than the other Nica vloggers 😊. Keep up the good work 👍😃
If you intend to move to and live in another country, it's a matter of RESPECT to learn the language, it also allows you to interact with the people as you integrate. As a Norwegian, I learned English upon arriving in North America, when I came to live in Quebec, a French province, I learned French. Living in an English enclave in a new country is a detriment to your development rather than an asset. I also spent time in the Middle East where the language is Arabic and while in Lebanon having conversations with groups you often heard 3 languages in the same conversation, Arabic, French and English. Now I'm learning Spanish before moving to Nicaragua.
