Well triple axel isn’t the wrong sport, it’s just a really advanced jump. So it’s like saying I do ballet and someone says ooh can you do 15 pirouettes ? I don’t really know how advanced 15 pirouettes are but sounds about the same level as a triple axel.
@@ChadKakashi I only weight 108 and nothing about that would be easy for me. I could work super hard for that skill, which it takes that. I know from skating a bit when I was young that I'm not super coordinated in that way I could barely do basic skating. Lots of people w/ no training could skate backwards and do a few tricks. All I could do was spin in circles to stop or run into the boards. Just a clutz on skates.
I'm a figure skater too and when I take my friends to the ice skating rink, they ask "can you do a quad." "...No, but I can do a waltz jump or a lutz..." 🥴
@@kristingarska830that’s so cool! you’ve probably been practicing a long time, I’m 15 and can barely do a grapevine 😭 I haven’t been practicing very long, practice makes perfect
No, you can't. A quad refers to four revolutions in the air, and the first one landed in the Olympics by a woman was just last year. If you could do it as an 11 year old girl you'd be world famous in the sport. Please behave responsibly online - that includes not lying. @@kristingarska830
Once I was teaching my friend a scratch spin (I do lessons and teacher her what I learn) and a hockey player flew into her knocking both of us of out feet 😂
Trust me, to nonskaters your skating looks as impressive as pro level skating . Every time I see someone at the skating rink who can go backwards or spin in a circle they might as well be doing a sextuple axel with how blown away I am .
I tried roller skating and I ice skating, but for me they are very different and not the exact same, roller skating is harder, I actually fell while attempting to do a crossover on roller skates when I can do that on ice skates.
For me roller skating is harder for spins, while roller skating is easier for jumps. I have done both one on a competitive level and the other on a smaller level
This has similar energy to when people idealize dancers as perfectly put together but if you've been backstage before a performance you know it's actually really chaotic
@@StarB33ry tell me youve never skated without telling me youve never skated, im not even a figure skater i usually sometimes just skate for fun and even ik its hard asf
yess! I can so relate, some people went to the rink with me and were watching me, and after I got off they walked over and said something like “ sooo, that’s it? “ LIKE, what do you expectt?
To become extremely good comes with passion, hard work ,struggles and you have to be committed to it! ❤ I belive in you that one day you will be way better than all the professionals and you will be in the olyimpics ❤ If you belive and support her and think she is amazing too! 👇
POV: When you are a figure skater and you do what people expect you to do when you tell them that you're a figure skater... ... You're spins are looking SO goo btw!
I used to figure skate when I was a kid and a teen. The best I managed was a very clumsy axel. No double jumps, no Pilman pirouettes. Never competed. But it was fun. Surya Bonali was my heroine, she was a total rebel with her forbidden back flips.
@LillyJones-je8yg not sure abt model but skills im currently working on are mainly sit spins and salchows, if that gives you any idea of my skill level. i don’t think i’m over booted, i’ve been doing this a couple years and have done a couple competitions and shows
@@crybabyyy_ makes sense! Based off of your description of skills working on you definitely could be potentially over booted. If they are Edeas you should be fine because they are designed so that people of any level can use them. However other brands such as Jackson and Risport make models that will not work for anyone working on less than triple jumps. That being said, if over booting is not the problem, what are you struggling to figure out?
Fr one time i told me frd i figure skate and they were like 'omg i wish i could jump in the air while doing spins' (she was referring to axels) and i was like 'girl i started 11 months ago'
that is so true, when i tell people i am a figure skater they are like “omg!! can you do like double jumps and very fancy spins??” like no and am learning how to do an axel i’m not that experienced…🤷🏼♀️
Even with a full life dancing on 🩰 as background, the amount of ice I literally ate when I tried it for the first time would be enough for a wedding banquet🤦🏻♀️😅. The difficulty is simply mindblowing, no matter how mentally and physically prepared you think you are. Maaaaaad respect. 🧛🏻♀️🖤
