We just got back from a cruise in Alaska a week ago, we were on the Celebrity Millennium, but, had a chance to take a small tour boat in Juneau to get up close to the Dawes glacier. We also took a small tour boat in Ketchikan and saw many of the same wildlife that you were able to see up close. We have not done expedition cruising yet, but, are doing the Galapagos next June on the Celebrity Xpedition which holds only 48 passengers and we are really looking forward to it. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures.

We are also planning to cruise the Galapagos but in May next year and with Silversea. We can't wait! I can only imagine how amazing it's going to be :)

@@watchuswander we are in Greece right now on the Celebrity Apex and it is a fantastic ship. Only 501 passengers vs a capacity of 2918. Over 900 crew, it’s like our own private yacht. We are really looking forward to the Galapagos next June. We are doing the 19 day cruise and land combo with Machu Pichu. Happy cruising.

Wow! Lou, we just returned from sailing the Greek isles with Azamara (vlogs coming soon!). It was our first time to Greece and we are in love. Hope you are having an amazing time! Apex is beautiful!

@@watchuswander what a nice coincidence. We are really enjoying this cruise and the Greek Isles are fantastic. You are right, the APEX is really amazing and we only have 501 passengers on board so the ship is like a big private yacht. Looking forward to your Azamara vlogs.

An Alaskan Cruise is on my bucket list. My wife and I are planning an Alaskan Cruise probably in 2025 to celebrate retirement. If you had one cruise company who would you cruise with?

Hi, Steve! We've only cruised to Alaska with UnCruise and Princess, so two very different companies. We preferred UnCruise's approach because of their immersive nature - very active excursions, the ability to sail farther into the fjords, fewer passengers, etc. The focus was much more on seeing Alaska's rugged landscapes than the ship/entertainment. But with Princess we were able to visit more towns, which was special too! Really depends on what you're looking to experience :)

Great choices! Kelly loved her time on HAL's Rotterdam. And Viking can't be beat in terms of service and quality. You'll have to let us know what you decide!
