The scariest bit of any jungle expedition is getting there. Months in the field and I've never been bitten by a snake or dangerously venomous spider, but the heli rides in... that's the sketchy bit!!!!
Two pilots went for a flight but they never returned. So they started searching for the pilots. They were found a few years later by a few locals but the mystery remains.....how did that plane crash without breaking into pieces. Be careful when you go in the suriname forest. A local told a tourist NOT to whistle but she was stubborn after a while everyone who was in that group got dizzy they heard something running thru the bushes after that the woman who whistled disappeared. I love my country suriname but be careful respect your surroundings and greet the forest before entering
I find it crazy that the camera crew take such heavy cumbersome equipment especially as we live in age where many lightweight portable cameras are available. That said, the shots are brilliant!
