The problem of different people knowing different things and not being able to easily explain to others what they know, causing major slow-downs in figuring solutions to problems, both scientific and physical, is described in a very interesting mid-1950s sci-fi book entitled "Voyage of the Space Beagle" by A.E. van Vogt. It concerns a huge spaceship with a crew of space sailors and scientists going as the first exploration expedition -- a la USS ENTERPRISE of STAR TREK but much larger -- to the M31 Andromeda galaxy and the severe problems that happen when they meet up with less-than-friendly (to give an understatement) living things on the way there and when they get there. A possible solution is given in the book by having a person on the ship, the protagonist, being a specialist in super-fast learning using all sorts of techniques to get "up to speed" on something he does not know ASAP. This causes problems of its own when some people do not like being shown to be wrong by an "upstart" who now knows more about their specialty than they, with years of training using standard schooling of the time, do. Some of this conflict is rather amusing, but much is very, very interesting. A true sci-fi classic.
Momma's don't let your babies grow up to be Data Loggers... They'll spend all their days inside bellies of ships... Staring through distant cameras until their mind flips... Momma's don't let your babies grow up to be Data Loggers... They'll tell you that daytime is a condition of depth... Wishing they could go where you can't draw a breath... ~ You can add better lyrics than I can.
Alice, if you are interested in these algaes, there is a fresh-water experiment station here in Lake Huron (Michigan), not far from shore and actively studied by the University. I'm sure someone is trying to tie it to the fiction of "global warming", if that is your interest.
Always wondered about these structures and now it’s wonderful to see what’s going on with them- and soooo much to learn. They are dark strange beauties❤ can’t wait to learn more about them.
Excellent video but, it's way past time that US scientists stopped mixing mensuration. This is confusing when distance is in metres and temperature in Fahrenheit! Get your science act together USA, the world uses SI (metric), please do likewise...
The lady at 5502 is very bizarre in her statements where is her research to prove what she saying? She’s blaming man for the climate and she’s not including weather manipulation
Agreed. As soon as something comes up that isnt in the parameters of what they feel is explainable with tools they deam 100% actual when there tools mostly are theoretical they panic & just avoid facts to avoid the relaxation there phd dont mean jack
Okay, now be nice and pay attention before 'Science" tells the powers that be to put us all on lockdown and submit to mandatory vaccinations again, so we can "follow the science".
