Here's my experience. When you go on facebook, you offer 10% off because you'd save on fees anyways. When you offer to sell at 90 for a 100 box, it's decent. But when you offer 100 off a 1k box, there are way more people interested because the $$$ off is wayy higher.
But the question is who is selling and who is buying. There is a very select group of people that invested heavily in these products at msrp and they buy/sell their own product to each other to ensure a steady climb of the price. I mean just look at 151 or evolving skies. People have garages full of that stuff.
Wrong. Older product gets sold to individuals who either want to collect the box, grade the cards in the box, or open for box breaks on whatnot etc. there’s no secret Illuminati of investors buying back and forth.
I try and buy the most popular (and that usually mean most expensive) boxes at the time because demand is key for me, it's the thing that will drive price in the future, I mean if i can get popular and low supply things that's a key to success, for example black labels, IMHO are the only way to invest in slabs because the future market will be able to buy me a house i think in the future
I’ll sell you a Team Up build and battle case if you’re interested? Brand new. Honestly I don’t know how many are out there and only seen 2 for sale. Let me know.
