Great ep! I like all the descriptors used. For me, everyone's nose and palette can vary a lot so I really focus in on things like body and finish since those tend to be much more consistent per person. Nose seems to be the least consistent but I'm just learning as I go along.
So glad you guys got a good bottle of dry Furmint to make up for that corked one! Good Furmint is such a beautiful thing, I’m doing a Royal Tokaji tasting at my local wine shop in a couple of weeks and can’t wait, they will be bringing some of their dry wines too!
From the official Rioja DOC specification: " For red wines made with destemmed grapes, a minimum 95 per cent of grapes should be Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Graciano, Mazuelo or Maturana Tinta. For red wines made with whole grapes, this figure should be no less than 85 per cent. "
