Unpopular Opinion: Ahsoka is the true victim of Star Wars. The story of Star Wars may be focused on Anakin and his tragic upbringing and downfall, Obi-Wan may have been forced to watch the people he cared about the most fall and die, Yoda may have watched his entire order burn to the ground, Luke and Leia may have lost their homes, the clones may have been forgotten, the Jedi may have been gunned down without a second thought, the Separatists may have been betrayed, and the Republic may have crumbled from within. But imagine... Imagine how scared and alone Ahsoka must have felt her entire life, being forced into a war simply because the Council was too afraid to confront Anakin themselves, witnessing the people she swore to protect die in her arms, encountering the literal embodiment of darkness and being forced to fight your friends against your own will, barely surviving multiple Sith, mercenaries, droids, and assassins, experiencing betrayal from her best friend, being thrown under the bus by the people who were practically her family without a second thought, being tried by the government she fought to save so many times, walking away from the only home she ever knew, watching helplessly as the clones she loved die before her eyes, finding out about the death of a woman who was practically an older sister to her, thinking the two closest people in her entire life were dead only to discover that one of them, her master and brother, became a Sith Lord responsible for countless deaths, including the deaths of her own friends, and being unable to save him. Imagine how alone and confused she must have felt, thinking she was the only one left yet knowing she could never return to her old life. Imagine how she must have felt learning about what happened to Kanan and Ezra in her absence. Imagine how she must have felt when she found out that Anakin returned to the light, but she could not see it or help him before it was too late. Ahsoka quite literally had every reason to become the villain, but she continued to fight for the people she cared about. She always tries to find another way no matter what, even if it means she dies trying. That is why she is one of my favorite characters in Star Wars and in all fiction. No matter the tragedy, she keeps pushing on.
When Ahsoka said she knew Anakin, I felt sorry for her. What she thought was far from the truth. But, despite all that, I'm glad she lived on past the Purge, the Rebellion, etc. I've been a big fan of her since day 1.
What the hellll how do you manage to edit out the original background music of these clips and keep the voice parts in? Massive props!! This is well done and emotional!
If you have access to the the show in a compatible format like BluRay, or if you *get* the show through other means, as long as the media has 5.1 surround sound, there are 5 unique audio channels, and usually you can isolate dialogue/sound effects from the music.
It is from a fan made WIP Anakin vs Obi clone wars duel. I forget the channel name. But if you just search up "Ani vs Obi-Wan Clone Wars animation" you can probably find it.
