The content and presentation of the scenarios were amazing; I didn't felt that it was a three-hour-long video. I'm glad I watched this video to learn about Experience Cloud. 🙏
Thank You So Much, I'm self learning experience cloud trying to create my personal community site. I was stuck with creating users for community, big help with this tutorial. This was the most detail video I hv watched on this topic. Thanks again.
Great tutorial on SF Communities. Very thorough explanation but would have been nice if you could demarcate each topic with a separate short video instead of consolidating all the topics into a single session.
@@thesorcerer111 that would be a different series to make for sure, but yes I get your point. This is more like a crash course to impart all I know so anyone who wants to start can kickstart without much worries
Thank you creating such an amazing video that explains everything in detail with great clarity and easy to follow instructions. Best Experience Cloud leaning video ever.
Excellent work! Majority of the topics of Experience Cloud were covered in detailed with an example. Great stuff for people to start working on digital experience.
Hats off to you himanshu this single video clears experience cloud🤟 Try to create more videos on experience cloud with some advancement. We are waiting for your video.
Nice session with very in-depth explanation. I would say bring some sessions which will cover more details on Sharing, Custom theme layout, etc for exp. builder.
Awesome explanation Himanshu. I really loved it. I appreciate your effort for preparing the presentation and detailed explanation. Keep doing vidoes like this. Thank you
Great explanation, Himanshu! I loved your content and the way you presented the information. I appreciate your efforts. Thank you. Also, could you create a video covering the whole understanding of LWC?
Great content and presentation Himanshu. I am working on the complex "form" requirement, not the lead capture one. Do you think Experience Cloud would make a viable option? As I can see there is no direct way to do that in EC, it is either HTML component or by making one in LWC/aura/visualforce pages. Let me know your thought around it.
Lightning Web Component would be the most feasible option for a form. No out of the box forms available in EC. And HTML component would be too tedious to manage and maintain.
This might be done from a third party by creating campaign but there are currently no provisions inside of salesforce for ads. See if you can create a campaign around your portal to add ads in the pages. Not sure if it would work, but worth a try.
After watching this video feel confident about Experience Cloud. Good Content more helpful video. Thanks again for your efforts to make this useful video
@@salesforcemakessense In one of interview at PBC salesforce architect asked me to design library system in salesforce. He want me to explain the data model for it. After that he asked to explain security model of it. Hope, i answered your question :) P.S Not every company asks these kind of question, PBC do ask
Amazing session Himanshu. One of the best I have seen on Experience Cloud. Keep going. Also, I figured out the issue you faced at one of the places. 1:46:28 The issue was you added "My Contacts" list view and there was no contact in the system where the owner was Devesh Bijja. If you create one where he is the owner, you should see it. Many thanks for the session.
Web to lead and web to case are forms to be embedded in websites or third parties but you cannot embed wpforms in experience cloud as there is no wordpress plugin capability present here that can be installed
Hi I have one question after creating when I want that user to login in experience as user it give me error ---looks likes the portal user is not a member of experience
Sharing Sets are explicitly for Experience Cloud users which let you ensure User - Contact - Account related sharing which might not be possible in Sharing Rules directly. As this is more granular.
Thanks for the video! im having trouble posting to Chatter. Im hosting a screenflow on experience cloud and once its submitted a record is created and then a post should be made on chatter. My flow keeps giving me the error Error Occurred: Guest users are not permitted to perform this operation.
@@09vanillajasmine go to guest user prodile for your site and check chatter permissions. The relevant permissions should be marked tick or checked for this profile. Also check Salesforce documentation to verify whether they allow guest users to create chatter posts or not (mostly they should) but give it a check
Wonderful video !!! can be helpful for anyone who wants to understand community cloud in few hours. Great Work Himashu!! Will be looking forward to see more videos on community cloud.
@@venkatpandi2420 The Guest User Access segment could not be covered, but what I can do is dole that out as a separate video. In this one, I wanted to paint the entire Experience Cloud picture so if you are someone who knows nothing about it will be able to start for sure after seeing the video. That's the idea with this video. But yes, I will create another video for Guest User Access specifically :)
If the theme can be exported and imported we might be able to but there are a lot of considerations and limitations to that in terms of packaging, formatting which will mostly not let you use the wordpress theme. You can use LWR to create Wordpress like themes inside Experience Cloud as well now.
How can I make an external user login to the Community Site that I have built? He won't have any credentials to log in to the site, are there any ways to make external users log in?
I have a scenario where we have the External users and they do not require Login Option or Form , How can I disable the Login page on the customer service theme?
Hi, I have created a sandbox from our prod, and that has already created att the sites in sandbox. I assume that these sites are totally isolated from prod. Please correct me if I am wrong here.
I have a query, I installed a package from app exchange Super Slider, when I tried to use the functionality as an admin can view it, but as a customer account or guest user cant access it.
You need to check whether the permissions needed for the app are given to the right profiles or not. System Admin has access so he/she is able to use it.
How can I restrict user from edit and modify specific fields display in the layout.. For example in contact layout I want user, cannot edit or modify Phone number field.
Sir How can i Create unauthenticated site, (in previous version it's asked while creating) but now it's not asking "Select an Authentication option". So in this case how can i create it(login without any credentials)
How to change account of contact if user is already created with that contract. Im getting cross reference I'd error even i have modify all permission on contact and account.
hii Himanshu.. its a very helpful video.. i have a question, main salesforce license can do all setting for us.. in digital experience i want to add contributors .. one user is x(identity user) ..then X user want to open BUILDER that error shows" You do not have the level of access necessary to perform the operation you requested. Please contact the owner of the record or your administrator if access is necessary."... can you solve it also guide me thanks !
Hey Devesh, I think that's a permission issue on the profile level. There's a permission that needs to be checked which is "Create and Set Up Experiences" and that should provide you the access needed.
@@salesforcemakessense But Himanshu when i select a identity license, then is only 2 profiles shows... one is standard.. one is custom.. in custom profile i can not add license ! according to me the reason is identity user cant access account, contact ! am i right or wrong ??
@@salesforcemakessense it means if i run experience cloud.. mera pss salesforce licence hona mandatory hain for fully access.. other koi license work nahi karnge ! .. am i right or not ?
@@deveshpareek8174 Devesh, you will need a license that allows Experience Cloud configuration. so, yes Salesforce license toh lagega hi, however I am not sure aur koi license hai kya jo allow karta hai.
Hi Himanshu, I followed the steps given an dws able to create my very 1st community page. However I want the public to access without login in. I followed the sharing chapter but the home page still shows a login option and tabs are missing. The profile is for guest user and sharing settings are reald only however when I share the link with friend they can only see the home page and the login option. Can you please help?
Hey, I think you need to enable "Guest users can see this site" setting for the community you want enabled for guest users. Also, the menu items you want to display them without a login has to be marked Publicly Available.
@@salesforcemakessense I did enable the"Guest users can see this site" from the community settings still nothing, I made the tabs read only and shared with my site guest user but only the home tab appears available to the public.
@@missdiya10 What about the object access that the tabs are showing? or the page access (if custom) that is configured as menu item ? or the menu item - is it marked publicly available?
@@salesforcemakessense From builder, I created a guest user profile and turned the custom tabs to default on, with read permission for the objects. For page access the custom tabs are on with basic read access. The menu item is marked publicaly available.
@@missdiya10 the issue could be then due to the IP restrictions on the user profile. Once those IP addresses are deleted, the Guest user should be able to login. can you try and check?
I created a community site which have custom objects in navigation menu and two LWC components and one report and dashboard in home page. When I logged in as System Admin, I can't able to see those LWC components, reports and dashboards which I have added to the home Page. What could be the reason for above issue ?
@@salesforcemakessense I added him to Members also. But still the LwC and reports are not visible for System Admin, when he logged in to the site. Help me in sorting this issue. I'm trying everything, can't figure out where I'm having issue.
@@salesforcemakessense I published my portal and I activated also. I can see everything when Previewing but when logging in nothing is visible for System Admin.
You might want to create a new Navigation Item and choose the FAQ object from Site Pages, or create a new FAQ page and choose that page as menu item link.
If you are using custom email templates using Visualforce, you can leverage the lang attribute and fetch users language and locale information. This will automatically handle the translation for you, but if you are using out of the box templates, not sure if that's something Salesforce provides. language="{!recipient.language__c}"
@@adityaadi4885 Yes, you can do that on page level. Click on the Themes option and you should see an option to set an image. If you want to set an image on the body, click on the body and you can either choose a color or an image as background.
