In other countries you drive in your line and indicate with decent gap before changing lanes. Shoulder check is also a must. These people are driving all over the lanes. Lane discipline is important otherwise this highway will become a cemetery.
I saw many Indian roads and got that they don't have a yellow line on the sides but white, I've also travelled in Pakistan and many other countries and I think yellow line on the end of the road is better than white during night time because it's more visible.
