The data has turned out to be corrupt. Not properly calibrated. The World Record is void and null.

Hey SSC, end the controversy. This time have the GPS sensor company validate the setup and calibration and do the run again. If not, your record will always be in doubt or considered invalid.

Well, they broke the record with people from every GPS company on site. The speed is lower but they had a lot less room, car was still hitting the powerband with 2 gears to go when it hit 285.

@@philonetic321 I'm super excited by the fact they came back and did show amazing performance. I love this car and want to see it break 300, which I am confident it could under better conditions (longer track). But until it does, the 331mph claim remains in doubt.

Hey, I noticed something just now, on the top gear video pause at 1:15 it reads 310 mph and the car is well past the Median, but on this video Pause at 1:40 speed the same at 310 mph but the car hasn't hit the Median yet?

How many 360 cameras did you use? and where did you mount them? Okay you used a Insta360 Titan (wow 11k) and Insta360 R (5.7k) - but where did you mount these, excellent job!

I mount it inside the car - but we actually mount 3 all around the car - end up using only one on my video but the TopGear version use all 3.

Because the camera is blow out as the outside very bright - so instead of seeing nothing, I give the POV view there :)

Overdrive Gear, so you can comfortably sit at higher speeds with lower rpm.

Look down at the laptop in the 360 view and it doesn't reach the same speed shown on the display in front

It should be - just sync off a little bit as VR is shot on a lower frame rate and the display is on a higher frame rate.

I thought this was to be something different: a video about extreme deceleration with a slight spelling error in the title. Instead I found it's yet another video about going very fast posted by someone who doesn't know how to use the English language.

@@hughhou Gramatically, the title of the video would seem to suggest that it's about the act of slowing a car down with that mechanical device attached to the wheel hub using friction to burn off speed: the "brake". The spelling error is "breaking" as in "record breaking". The correct wording of the title should have been: "Experience the World Record Breaking . . . etc"

@amarjit singh It was actually because of the intense crosswind. He had reached what he was comfortable with because once he decelerates, the car begins to shift its weight balance and makes it even more dangerous at those speeds to control the car. It's crazy to think that the car had so much more left in it.

Oh, were the manufacturers of the GPS used in the Veyron runs present during their runs? Well yeah, it was built in house, but you see how ridiculous it is to expect that? If Garmin had manufactured the GPS used would the lack of a Garmin employee hold any bearing on the results? Seems silly.

Hugh - fan of your work normally but i really do not understand the rationale for having the pilot’s view point inside of smaller window in the windscreen... It’s silly. The ride itself as a passenger would be amazing enough. There’s no need to up the ante by inserting the pilot’s view point when we’re literally sitting next to him... Do one or the other. Trying to do both at the same time is a little silly and distracts from the experience.

The pilots view is not there to look cool, it's to hide the completely blown out view outside. If it wasn't there you wouldn't see anything, just white. Basically it was shot really badly probably on auto exposure.

Left that poor Inspire 2 in the dust 😕😂 speaking if drones I know you're super busy man but I'm having a few issues with 360 images shot through the Litchi app on my drones, I'd love to pick your brain sometime if you ever get some free time 👍🏼 love what you do man and it inspires me to do more 😊

I don't even know how to use Litchi app - last time I used it my drone freak out - so I just use the official DJI app all the time.

It's just last time I looked there was no automated 360 shot in dji go so that's really the only time I use Litchi, by default it takes 23 photos with the final facing down and all the rows seem to start at the bottom and move upwards and to the right diagonally, the big issue I'm having is finding a software that can stitch that style of shooting a 360 image well, 3Dvista photo stitcher is about the only software that can handle it and it gets false control points sometimes which distorts the image and takes a long time to correct

What 360 Camera did you use and how did you upload to youtube and maintain the resolution? I have a OneR and everytime I upload videos it down grades it to 480s.
