She's also talking way too much, hangs on to old topics instead of staying with the match, and she sounds erratic and crazy, more like she wants to prove that she knows "everything" thats going on rather than anything else. Not a good commentator.

Your point seems kinda off. Her speech impediment is a minor setback. Her inability to pronounce the letter "R" is not a major issue. As you can see from the comments, the poeple watching can understand what she's saying. They are all just too taken aback by the "W" in place of "R" in certain words. But they have the ability to use context clues or thier own ears to understand her point. And I agree that this shouldnt be seen as empowering, but who cares? If someone with any kind of disability saw this video and was inspired, isnt that a net positive for the world? Why do we need tear her down? Shes passionate about the job, and she's knowldegeable about the game. Despite her disability, she's definitely not the worst commentator. The only issue I have with her commentary, is the fact that she intrerupts her co-workers sometimes. Over all, the speech impediment is not that bad, and no one is being forced to watch.

@@12XFixer I mostly agree overall with your points. No one should be tearing her down and I'm sure it is inspiring for others with similar issues to see someone like her able to do what she does. But if I'm being brutally honest, I think it unfortunately does detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the average viewer who wants to support brawhalla by watching the esport scene. (so its not so obvious to me that there is a net positive effect going on here) And I really don't think the best solution here is to say "well you can understand with context clues" and "just don't watch. no one's forcing you". Brawhalla is a great game. I love to play it and be engaged in watching it at the highest level. I appreciate all the effort the devs and commentators put in to make it fun to watch. But to be real, I've clicked off several Brawhalla videos recently because its difficult to listen to and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It has nothing to do with me disliking her (I think she's charming and IS a really skilled at what she does). Speaking clearly isn't the only aspect of being a great commentator, but I think we can agree that it IS a core part of the job. Again that's no excuse for anyone to harass her or make snide comments (which there's been quite a lot of in this comment section sadly). But I think there is some fair criticism of the esports management to be had here.

While I understand that her speech impediment is not so severe that she cannot be understood, I would still consider her to be substantially more difficult to understand. Brawlhalla is a fast game and the casters already talk quite fast. I agree that her inability to pronounce the letter R is not a major issue, but it is an issue, and that's what I would consider to be the concern for me. I agree that it is nice for people who have disabilities to watch and feel inspired but there are roles for people who have speech impediments that would be more appropriate than casting. For example, if she was a community manager, and spoke on dev streams, that might be a better fit. Community managers still talk on stream, but they're not required to speak so quickly. I'm not saying that people with speech impediments shouldn't be given any roles in society that involve talking. I just think that casting, specifically casting a fighting game which is very fast paced, and not a game like hearthstone which is a slower card game, is just not a good fit for someone with a speech impediment. It requires too much accuracy and speed in talking for them and negatively affects the viewing experience. English is not my first language and I do struggle to understand her. As an ethnic minority (Bob Bobson is not my real name) I understand that diversity and inclusivity are important, growing up Asian in the UK, but it shouldn't compromise someone's ability to perform their role

Honestly she’s pretty good but her speech impediment definitely makes it hard to listen to. I think it would be worth it for brawlhalla to pay for some speech therapy. Again, she is a very skilled commentator.

Speech impediments are not able to be controlled by the speaker, she can talk properly and is actually one of the better commentators because she actually stays on topic.

@@j-7005 Yeah that's his point, why would someone with a speech impediment have a job focused heavily on speech. Ofc it's not her fault for having it; but a commentator's first quality has to be clarity and she doesn't exactly fulfill that. That's why everyone is annoyed by this. It's not personal against her, we don't even know her and i'm sure she's a cool person. But someone like me who tends to have these streams in the background and just listening to the audio to know what is happening in the match, well I'm sad to say that I simply cannot understand what is being said at times. Sorry for the paragraph but it is a sensitive topic and it should be really clear where the problem actually is.
