I want to say thank you to Linda for sharing I live in Australia, but I do live in a part where we do not get snow and in fact, I’ve never seen snow before in person. With had sleet and black eyes and it caused a major pain flareup from me so I don’t think I’ll be visiting the snow any time soon however it is just stunning to look at. I hope I do get to see it at least once in my life time. It looks like magic.
Love the marks made by the snow! I’m going to try this if we get snow again tomorrow. Who knows - we were in the 70s at the start of the week and then had quite a bit of snow last night. Spring is wild.
Wow, I left Canadian winters behind 10 years ago for the tropics of Panama but you made me want to run back for a visit. I love the snow falling on those evergreens. I do miss it sometimes. I love how you just let the book get wet with the snow..how wonderful. Great idea. So beautiful. Spring is around the corner for you! thanks so much Linda
Thanks, Gwen! I’m definitely a northern gal in the sense that I hate the heat of summer and much prefer spring spring winter and fall. I lived in Hawaii for a short time twice and really missed the winter and fall. Thanks so much for letting me know that you enjoyed the video!
Thanks so much for sharing this with us on RU-vid Linda!!! I could only smile through the whole thing!!! I so love that the snow became your partner and being able to see the marks it made was so exciting--I felt your energy and joy with the whole process. I also felt like I wanted to join you and paint on a big sheet of paper under the snowfall. I hope I dream about doing that! So glad Don was able to save the day and bring out the sketchbook too. Big hugs and lots of love to you both! 🥰❤❤🌨❄🎨🖌✏(sorry for the emoji blast! 😂)
Thanks so much for your lovely comment, Lori! I’m so glad that you enjoyed the video and really appreciate your sharing that with me. I also thought it would be fun to bring out a giant sheet of paper and do a sort of watercolor pour onto it allowing the snow to make the art. I think that’s definitely something I will try next winter.
Fantastic *video footage* . The *first ten minutes* - The *enchantment* of the *Snow And trees* . Spellbinding (it's _just like here_ in the _wonders of wood Green_ north London u.k ) hee hee :) And . ... the actual sketching - I enjoyed the _mark making_ made with the watercolor brush. Letting the *snow drops* become _merged with the artwork_ is brilliant :) Keep sharing.
What a wonderful and thoughtful comment! So well thought out and written. It really blessed me to hear the aspects of the video that you enjoyed and why. Such a joy to read this kind of comment, thank you!
Beautiful winter ( my favorite season) & sketching outside 🤗The atmosphere 💙Thank you again Linda. Loved the colors and those bending evergreens 💚The same happened on April this year in southern Finland. Some of the birds had already arrived and spring flowers were peeping and then some 30 cm snow over night.
Thanks so much for letting me know that you enjoyed the video. I really enjoy winter too. I often wonder if that’s because I was born in December. Those late snows can come as quite a surprise! ☃️
Thanks for letting me know that you enjoyed it. I misspoke in the video when I said that they were da Vinci and Daniel Smith watercolors. They are actually van Gogh and Daniel Smith. Hope that helps!
