Freeze dried yoghurt drops are quite tasty. Melts in the mouth and great for kids. Try freezing raspberry n strawberries.

I am enjoying all your videos you two. You are so happy! What you need for heating food in the microwave is to use bowl cozies. If you sew you can make them. If you don't let me know and I would be honored to make you some. All you do is set your bowl into the cozy, then place into the microwave. When food is ready you reach in an pick the bowl up with your hands around the cozy. No more burned hands. Also excellent for bowls of ice cream! Keep posting!

I would just jar the sauce for lasagna and freeze dry the cheese. The noodles would last for years on a shelf. But it was fun to watch and learn.

In the UK we have sweets called jelly babies, and they are incredible when freeze dried! Love to watch you guys freeze drying as sorts of food! Hope you both are well! ❤️

I was hesitant on the Lasagna too but surprisingly it turned out awesome!!! Don't know why you would do freezer drying lasagna but the activity was fun to watch! Lol . I'm making lasagna homemade to freezer today!!

What an idea! Maybe if you do the ice cream sandwiches it'd be as Ellie said and as a treat after covering them in melted chocolate.

I've heard people say you can watch your freeze dried tomatoes rehydrate from the humidity in the Midwest. I'm not completely surprised it happened to you, but I would have bet Utah in the winter would have been the best time to try. I'm not sold on freeze drying being the best preservation method. I appreciate your experiments so I know not to prioritize saving for this machine. It would be neat to have one just to mess around though. For me, I think I'd rather buy freeze dried and not worry about sealing properly.

Lol 2 things- i was yelling at the screen to not put a dessert in with other food. Idk why i knew that but I had a feeling it would end up weird… second thing- I live in Florida and when you left the lasagna out I definitely wanted to say to not do that because of the humidity in the air. 🙈

Why don’t you just buy one yourselves…looks like your playing with experimentation, however some things just should not be messed with.

Why does it bother me so much to see a whole jar of apples get reconstituted?? I guess because that was a lot of effort to dry them only to add water back when you could’ve used fresh apples. I realise you’re demonstrating but it bugs me so much 😂 it would be like watching someone detail a car and then take it out mudding....
