I think this is the "least" work I've seen for a disaster save that looked so terrible. This player wasn't in a terrible spot but threw in the towel right before he could turn the war around

@5:12 the reason field hospitals are seeing more use now is not because of the manpower (well sometimes it is because of the manpower) but because of the HP buff it gives now. Yes it makes your divisions cost like 150+ IC more, but 10% more hp means 10% less equipment losses per damage dealt to your division. So the cost of field hospitals in IC per unit damage dealt breaks even when your division costs 10x more than the field hospital battalion does, and above that ratio your field hospital is just free equipment saved, free organization and free recovery rate.

When I travelled the trans Siberian railway, I stayed in Omsk for a few days. It's cool. They have a statue of a man emerging from the ground, and a ski jump for a building. Not a bad place for your last stand. I have no doubt you can do it.

Good job on beating Germany on my save, I would like to give you more context. I played as Germany until 42. I was losing 1200 guns per day and every occupied territory was revolting constantly, but, I managed to push until Moscow. After that, I wondered if I could save Russia from a monstruous Germany (I could not) It’s a shame the A.I. destroyed my once beautiful Germany due to sheer incompetence, but good job either way.

@Bitt3rSteel If you want to use expert ai save you need to install expert ai mod or it will be didn't work with save file. You can run it but expert ai feature from mod didn't apply in the game. Bassicly expert ai make some nation 10-50x harder to deal with, if you push fast the ai instantly spawn division front of you, they get buff litterly on everything. 50% attack from all terrain, 200% production effiency etc... The Road to 56 is expand the endgame way further, + lot of the small nation get a lot of national idea and event.

In case you're interested Bitter Currently the most effective way of building fighters is adding ONE set of twin cannons in the first slot and filling the rest with HMGs. One set of cannons give a big boost to air attack for comparatively very little cost increase. Just the one set tho, more than that and it becomes too expensive

I'm very surprised seeing this, Expert AI from what I've seen of it makes the AI actually have good divisions, and gives them significant buffs. Maybe there was some error? Either that or the player gave up right as the Allies got Germany to pull the vast majority of it's troops away. Possible RT56 messed things up for them?

11:26 they have changed how the air works and range is king in my opinion because it affects the percentage of the airzone you cover .In other words if the circle is smaller the airzone you have a debuff if your circle is larger you have a buff and need less planes

"I don't know what's so expert about this AI, I'm not impressed" I'm not sure if you mean the mod or the game difficulty. If the former, it's actually a really good mod which makes the AI a bitch to fight sometimes. I played Czechoslovakia in challenging mode. It took me 12 years to cap Germany. They build competent air, your divisions actually need anti-tank, and the enemy *builds forts along the frontline*.

Expert German A.I is actually pretty absurd, made a build where i had 6k fighters, 2000 CAS, 9,000 tanks, 240 Divisions on the German border, 72 for the coastline, 24 for the Bosporus straight(All infantry 21 Combat Width, with 5 slots of support companies, and turkey(i annexed it). I had a surplus of everything except mechanized, AA, and a small amount of support equipment. This was in June of 41', and they were actually pushing me past polish territory into Minsk, I completely lost turkey and had to retreat back into the caucuses, I was losing in the air because the Axis somehow had 9k fighters, and 4k CAS. I got naval invaded multiple times in Turkey because my navy was somehow weaker than the Kriegsmarine. Just for reference, when I do a build like this on normal difficulty, I can usually just run it on speed 5 losing not even a single tile, just do that till 44' and then decimate the Germans with tanks and insane Breakthrough tactic encirclements.

Not shocked that omsk is the start of the Russian Reclamation, all the forts will keep you safe

i always put field hospital on my Inf. Somehow, knowing that they will be taken care of makes it less painfull to lose men. Yes i am that emotional

what nobody says, but is very important, is that higher soft attack also deals more damage to the enemy when *YOU DEFEND* , not just when you attack.

Honestly the main differences in R56 are mostly after 1945-1950 (nuke upgrades, train upgrades, plane and tank upgrades, and such) The Only thing that really has any effect are the small bits and bobs of infantry equipment upgrade (making upgrading your guns take longer) It also changes a few minor things about the AI (mostly after 1950, but some things become chaotic, and you'll see weird stuff on unhistorical), adds more releasable nations (which slows the game down later on, even if you don't release them), and adds some event popups here and there It also adds focuses, but on historical those shouldn't matter (some odd things may happen occasionally, but nothing affecting the war in Europe, though this isn't true after 1945)

Maybe you should try the Eight Years War of Resistance mod Bitt3r. I hope you can tolerate pain

Actually field hospitals have a good use beyond manpower conserving, war support A fully upgraded field hospital essentially negates most of the weekly -war support from combat casualties and it’s actually a good use for countries with low manpower too since you burn less of it, definitely a good choice on defensive units that get attacked a lot Been using it myself for a while now and the difference is huge, I basically don’t have to go above extensive conscription on any country and my war support and political power are massively improved

How can i upload a savegame without owning a phone and having played italy? It went great, until it didnt got vichy, spain, portugal, romania, jugoslavia, turkey and ethiopia easily, then was dumb, soviet where dieing (moscow, stalingrad, leningrad fallen) i decided to get the land needed for eruopean union, only had, 4 9/1 armys, then civil war, i control berlin, i closed the game cause, im not in any faction
