I'm an NC State fan but from the outside looking in I would never let go of dabo Swinney unless it truly is he cannot get an offense back on track. Considering his last championship was like 4 years ago I give him 10 before I let him go. Clemson was nothing to fear before he built the program.
As a Florida State fan myself, I completely agree with you. I personally like Clemson. When they come to Tallahassee, their fans are great people, and all is well. As an outsider looking in, Swinney is the whole Clemson program.

Not just because NC State won when I went back when Bradley Chubb was with us but I had to experiences with the fans. Hey Tiger fans don't forget about the Dawgs narrow victory two years ago. Clemson only lost by a possession and defense scored off interception. But also know that Stetson Bennett lV didn't get a snap against the Tigers and the following week he was named starter and threw 4 first half Touchdowns and only loss 2 games the next two national championship years. Dawgs got a returning QB who is battle tested and 5 offensive lineman who are preseason All SEC. Plus two TEs also pre All SEC. But here is the what I like, Dawgs will have pre season 1st team All SEC running back ETTEINE, Etteine Etteine. Remember how much you loved watching Etteine run the clock out. Well I hope you like it when it's you on the clock. Dawgs 35 Tigers 20. Kirby calls it early and doesn't keep the pedal down.
I like Dabo, and wish the best for him and the Tigers this season - but not against my DAWGS! I think they're still hot over how their end of the season went, and are motivated to show they are the best team in 2024. I'm thinking shades of UGA vs Oregon.

I do believe our offensive development was extremely lacking, but also injuries on o-line and wideouts. You can have great o lineman that look terrible because they have no cohesion. I would rather have 5 3 star o lineman that can work together and have played together for Awhile then some all Americans playing for themselves. Our o-line is back and extremely experienced together, along with good sophomore wideouts in Antonio and Noah brown. With garret riley and cade going into their second year and a great running back in mafa. I have a good belief we have a team that go in to Atlanta and upset Georgia. We have that team that can go into Tallahassee and beat fsu. I also believe we could lose those games if we can’t stay healthy and cade and Garrett Riley can’t figure it out together
This is what most people fail to realize. Clemson has had injuries the last 3 yrs on the offensive side of the ball that has hindered play. Yeah, all teams have injuries but when your OL has to play different positions from wk to wk and WR unable to practice just to be ready for game and playing with major injuries, that will hinder progress. So, I’m reserved to criticize coaching when your circumstances are not favorable and you have to coach up players to play out of their position from wk to wk or can’t practice at all. You got to consider all this under a new system last year. GR play calling last year had to be vanilla under these circumstances but as the year went on, we saw progress with the offense. I’m optimistic and excited to see what this offense looks like with a healthy OL/WR group.
Your comments about development on the offensive side rings so true, at least from outside observation. Their QB play, especially, has not been so good every since TL left...it does seems like poor development because their QB recruits are all highly rated coming out of HS...
It will be much closer than everybody thinks Last meeting neither team scored an offensive touchdown. 1st game of the year and many new players for both teams. I think it will come down to special teams and turnovers. Dabo has pulled off a few that we were supposed to get stomped. The Natty comes to mind when we beat the u beatable Alabama 44-16 and had the ball on the 3 yd line ready to score again at the end of the game. Worst defeat, point wise, that a Saban coached Alabama team was ever defeated. Could happen that the dogs might not be as good as they think they will be. Preseason rankings are a bunch of crap every year. I could see the dogs losing 3 or 4 games easy.
All Clemson gotta do is lose good maybe by one score or a FG and they get a big boost in the rankings for the rest of the season Look what happened last year with Missouri after they played Georgia tough

You cant when you team is split and half your starters are not playing and you have only 8 plays both sides can run. How can you judge a spring game with that
One thing a lot of people overlook about playing Clemson. Win or lose, teams tend to have a hard time winning after playing Clemson. Look at history at how many teams played Clemson when they were 5-6 or 6-0 prior to playing Clemson, and then barely making a low-level bowl. Some teams don't win another game the rest of their season. UGA will NOT win the NC this year because they have to play Clemson. Ignore any season that DJU was the QB, because he donated too many games to our opponents.
As a college football fan from the outside looking in at Clemson football I think they are still in a good place. Coach Sweeney is going to have to adapt to the transfer portal and the only way to do that is probably only winning 6-8 games if he wins 10 or 11 forget about it he’s not changing it’s more of a long-term thing, but as far as the quarterback goes, I think everybody me included has been a little hard on Kade a young QB is only as good as his offensive line and beyond that he hast to have the weapons it’s been a while since T Higgins walk through the door I guess Ross OK but still 500 yards in a season that ain’t it Now as a Louisville fan We have not beat them since we joined the ACC came close with Lamar Jackson Then enter James Quick 🤦🏻♀️ Anyway we get them at home. In Clemson Practice even though it’s practice Cade has look like a completely different player I’m not talking about wait and see but from what I’ve seen Cade Scrambling Ability and Ball Security has been a major improvement he still does make bad decisions of course but his overall improvement in a short period of time over the summer has been almost unbelievable to think he had the season he had last year but Georgia will be tough but Cade did outperform beck at the manning passing academy and they don’t hit the QBs but they do rush at the Qb to create pressure to improve their accuracy under pressure and not only that his decision making when he has time to process is pretty close to flawless so the Offensive line is going to have to step up because From what I’ve seen even if we don’t beat Georgia he has look like he could potentially have a monster year but there is one problem on Georgia that is a huge Achilles heel that nobody is talking about and their Beck Mobility and decision makers out side of schedule plays last in terms of mobility Beck on 59 Attempts only had 117 Yds and 4 TD’s and the things that made Stetson Bennett so good those past two seasons they won it all was because of his decision making outside of schedule plays and scrambling ability and Alabama exposed that there offensive line is good and I know Georgia is massive favorites but TJ Parker pretty much has looked like Aaron Donald this offseason in terms on off his progression so Peter Woods, TJ Parker and Barrett Carter are going to be a problem this season even if Georgia wins there’s no way in hell with those to guy Beck doesn’t get sacked at least 3 or 4 Times in the Game Georgia is the favorite to win but if that achillies heel hasn’t improved and knowing Dabo track Record of winning game that they were expected to get Bodied in Clemson has a chance if Georgia still had their 2021 Defense Clemson might as well forfeit the game but they don’t but the most I can see Clemson winning is in a one possession game cause the only way Clemson win this game only in a down to the wire game on the line situation but things can go south very easily if we aren’t focused and locked in but I do think Clemson Will surprise a lot Clemson Wins on a last Second Field Goal to win by 2 30-28 taking their first lead and only as time expires it’s bold but I’m hopeful

Very shallow analysis. As bad as the o line was last year and as many injuries as the offense has been plagued with, the handcuffed team of last year was still only three bonehead plays from being 12-1. Fix those plays and the Debbie Downers would be singing a different tune. If the o line is even marginally better, it will make a huge difference in outcomes.
@@nickjaymi certainly there will be more Georgia fans than Clemson fans because it’s in Atlanta, but it’s not like, say, Oregon coming to Mercedes Benz. Clemson to Atlanta is 2 hr 15 minutes, lots of Clemson alumni live here, and it’s an easy drive from most of South Carolina (ok maybe not Charleston lol)
Cade has flaws that I think can't be corrected, he lacks pocket awareness and walks into pressure too often. He is similar to Kelly Bryant in that regard, put Deshaun Watson on last years team and we go undefeated. A big problem has been WR development and blocking, and some of that has been injuries. But overall, better QB play would fix a lot, and running it more would help, too.

NC State is possibly overrated but they tend to play Clemson fairly well in recent years. NC State will have two dynamic play makers in Concepcion and now Noah Rogers ( whom Clemson recruited heavily before he committed to Ohio State but since transferred to NC State.

Like it or not Coach Swinney, the game has changed - making the playoffs is the minimum standard for a coach with two titles and the highest paycheck among the State of South Carolina employees.
Why would Dabo waste time & resources on transfer players who aren't good enough to get significant playing time at their origin schools? If he thinks his guys have a higher upside with development, and "fit" in the culture... I'll go with Dabo's assessment. He does it for a living. We're just second-guessing spectators with opinions.

I think Clemson will lose to Georgia, and maybe lose to FSU, and possibly NC ST. I think they should win at least one of those games. Their record should be somewhere between 9-3, to 11-1. I would be shocked if they lose more than 3 games. My guess 10-2! Go NOLES & Go Clemson!!
Any team that has Mike Bobo on its staff can easily lose to anyone. I think UGA will win but the Mike Bobo factor give Clemson a decent shot at the upset.

In getting the Clemson fan viewpoint you could not choose a worse representative. This guy has the most pessimistic view of Clemon and Dabo as a coach of anybody on facebook. I avoid his posts like the plague and the fact that you seem to rely on him for the "Clemson view" makes me trend to dismiss your channel as well.
I figure with all the big talent acquisitions that UL, Syracuse & Miami got through the portal , those teams could easily Dog Walk Clemson during the conference season. Clemson 8-4 0r 7-5 with losses to Georgia , App st, fsu & UL for the first time. Clip that Tigers tail and bring it home. Put it on our scalp pole.

@@MegaFrankgarcia A few things, Syracuse's roster is still bad, bottom 5 or 6 in the conference. Clemson doesn't play them (or Miami for that matter) so there is no way it could happen. Most importantly, no one should want to make a Syracuse football reference.
Lets be serious. Clemson lost to Duke to open the season last year, and also lost to FSU, Miami, and NC State, all on the road except FSU was at Clemson They barely beat SC KY and Wake. Best wins were at home versus NC or ND. Clemson has some nice pieces but QB play was inconsistent. Bottom line is they are not a title contender.
