According to one private survey, road rage is the foremost trigger of anxiety among car owners in Bengaluru. 57% of the 22,000 car owners surveyed in the city revealed that they have experienced some sort of road rage in the last six months.
India Today Sosouth connected with founder of Drivesmart Krishna, an X page that promotes safe and smart driving, who reacted to the recent incidents of rampant road rage in Bengaluru and gave tips on:
- How to avoid road crashes
- How to avoid common driving mistakes
- How to mantain road hygiene while driving
- How to develop a defensive driving mindset

nothing can be done , Bengaluru is now full of rascism, rowdyism and criminal activities, especially the local low profile kannadigas have started to target other state people as the government here itself is supporting such people who are taking law in their hands, this situation in not going to improve until the current govt is in power. This is not the Bangalore it used to be. One of the worst cities right now in India, once the IT companies start migrating to other cities this city will be left to dust but due to favourable weather conditions and setup the I.T companies are sticking here and hence more crowd is getting pulled from other states and hence the atrocities are increasing leading to such unfortunate events. Really its pathetic here in this city.

Dont divide india south and north, the border of india is safe guarded not based on south or north. India is for all indians. The police is not checking anything on road. I don't know when congress govt in power the police is not road to check any license or anything. Small kids are riding bike today. No one is bothered to ask.

This is a very useful video. Very well done So South. It's very much needed. Just another advice - Please highlight in all your reports that most of the cases are about road rage. Language is just an added factor once the perpetrator realises that the other person is not a local because he/she will use any excuse to dominate the other person. Road rage and hateful language chauvinism are both wrong, highlight the issue case by case. Even local Bengalureans are victims of road rage. Thank you for this video

I was around then. What about now? 1.5 billion folks, no space left for anything and of course we have lost all mannerisms and decorum. Don't criticize someone just because you want to. Whatever that was happening mostly on Sarjapur road and outer ring road were not road rages but mostly criminal gangs trying to extort drivers and were mostly pre-planned and are not something that happened due to the accident

Everyone driving on Bangalore roads know that as much as possible to be careful with the taxi and auto walas. You need to keep an eye on where they go because if you or him scrapes the vehicle doesn't matter as he will have many other of his people supporting him and if you have insurance for your vehicle just apply for it or you want to fight it out then go to the nearest police station to file an fir against them

I just returned from Bangalore to my place Kochi. It was like shifting from Ethiopia to Boston. There is no order in Bangalore. The vehicles including two wheelers keep pressing the horn till they reach the destination. Every empty site is turned into a garbage dump. There are as many street dogs as people. Its the dirtiest city in Asia. There is so much dust in air people don't breath Oxygen anymore. All these road rage is all due to poor living conditions and the gap between rich and poor. Bangalore needs a miracle to come back to its 1970-80-90 glory.

Completely agree with you. I too travel to Kochi every 6 months & it feels so good once I enter Kochi roads. Yes there is traffic as equal as BLR at times but the difference there is no stress of someone cutting you & there is a sense of peaceful driving in chaos ! Been in BLR for almost 20 years what I had noticed is..the road infrastructure is failed beyond correction, under construction flyovers since years !! Bottle necks of large 3 lane roads into a single lane at a narrow flyover .density of cars & bikes due to lack of public transport & connectivity & no proper planning due to BLR star topology of roads ! Compared to COK / Mumbai straight roads or delhi / Hyderabad ring roads.
