Yesss! I had Alicia by De Longhi (Italian brand) and it was amazing waking up with the smell of the coffee. Hot coffee ready without open both the eyes 😅It hasn't the alarm clock but with the rest of money (more than 400 hundred dollars) you can even buy an alarm clock 😂

I totally understand why Phoebe buys all her daytime skincare from the same brand - I do the same, my daytime skincare is all from one brand and the nightime routine from another. As reading an ingredients list doesn't mean you can predict the characteristics of a formulation, I just don't feel confident (yet) when trying to do this for several cosmetics at the same time. I assume (I hope) that the same team of cosmetic chemists will be much more capable than me to understand how well those different products layer up.

I only just started using sunscreen at 32. I have Scottish ancestry and was always the palest in my family and my dad would pick on me for being so white and always tell me to tan so I never wore sunscreen thinking it would help me get darker. He was recently diagnosed with skin cancer and now I'm regretting so many years of sun damage I've done. 😭 Never again.

My acupuncturist introduced me to Gua Sha and the results have been amazing. It’s used from the base of my neck out to each shoulder. My brother has always joked that my shoulders could be taken for granite. Gua Sha helps immensely. She uses a ceramic spoon. I wouldn’t suggest that it be used on the face, but a particular tool is not what defines Gua Sha.

Theres actually timed coffee machines for waaaay less that you can set up. So it starts making coffee at 7 and when you set your alarm to 5 minutes past that then you'll wake up and instantly have coffee ready... For 450 dollars less :D

The Sunday Riley sunscreen is my holy grail and I am someone who never commits to anything in her life. Also I have combo skin and since it’s really watery it spreads super easy and as such the appropriate sun coverage is provided without making it feel thick and heavy. Also also perfect for make up, never breaks my make up down and is a wonderful primer if you get patchy. I will admit is gives a white cast but it doesn’t dry down and certainly isn’t chalky like that review said, that’s just the pinky cast that isn’t really flattering unless you have a lot of red in your skin. P.S. unpopular opinion here but I think Bridgerton is terribly toxic but the cast is attractive

I finally can say I’ve stopped washing my face in the morning. It was hard for me being acne prone and washing my face twice a day ever since I’ve started washing my face but honestly hearing you and Dr. Dray not doing it and hearing how it can be beneficial Its been a few weeks of just water and SPF. Or moisturizer and SPF and my skin even feels more hydrated and my skin doesn’t feel tight ever anymore (:

I LOVE the Ice Ceramide Cream from Sunday Riley but I’ve swapped it out for the Ole Strength Training Peptide moisturizer for the time being and it’s been giving similar results.

@princessgowon Italy is a big fashion market, so might be available there :) Belgium: nope :) The Ordinary I need to order online from the UK or France, same with the Inkey list. YTTP needs to come from The Netherlands. I do not like that to ship me one or two products, a whole logistics chain needs to be put to action: trucks, airplanes, etc. Way too high a footprint. Big shipments to several stores at the same time, make way more sense.

@princessgowon Europe is 44 countries with 748 million inhabitants and these products are available in shops in maybe 5 (Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, UK) out of 44 of those countries. The Ordinary for example is only available in London, Amsterdam and Paris. Youth to the people, Ceravé, Dr. Jart, etc. you can only find in a few European webshops. Oftentimes only a limited amount of products from the range. I think I'm still making my point ;)

Regarding the car ride in the morning: If you work on a movie and you are an actor or an important person like a Regisseur, you get picked up and brought back to where you are staying by drivers. Some actors choose to drive themselves, but most get picked up. It Safes the production money in the end, especially if they have various changing shooting locations, as no one has to research after a long day how to get to set the next day.

As a New Yorker, I can say that my whole adult life I thought I had dry skin. When I started traveling more (Europe, Brazil, Korea, EVEN other places in the states like Georgia and Maryland), I noticed that my skin wasn't drying up like usual, AND my hair, which is curly, was drying into perfect curls without any products. I didn't (and still don't) use moisturizer on my face when I travel anymore because I don't need it (only SPF). I quickly found out IT'S THE FREAKING WATER!!! New York has the worst water for dry skin and hair. (Obvs, this is my own experience, but I've found that it is 100% true for me). Because Phoebe lived in New York, she might've also been experiencing this. Anyone else find this to be true?

In brazil the water quality is great lol The water in other places is classifed as "hard water" because of the high amount of minerals, so that's probably why you expecienced that change.

I actually like this C.E.O. serum. I do have a very resilient normal to dry skin though, so I don’t break out. It is pretty moisturizing and gives me a nice glow. However, it’s too early to say anything about it’s efficacy. I’ve been using it under my sunscreen every morning for about a month now

Actually, yes we get overtime, then there's time and a half, and golden time (which no set wants to hit). Most days are 12hr days, but anything after 10hr is considered overtime. which starts from your call time (not crew call) Hair/makeup & wardrobe usually have the earliest call time and usually the last to leave. The next day is determined by the last person b/c its required that there is minimum of a 12hr turnaround.

I got my skin to clear up with benzoyl peroxide and a simple effective routine. Now I started a .25% retinol to get the little small texture bumps I have left to go away. But it’s starting to break me out a little bit but I’m still using the BP on opposite days. So I don’t know if I should go up to the .5% retinol or do something else… but I don’t know what? How long to I give the retinol before I give up?! Ps. I have tried all the acids (glycolic, Azelaic, lactic) and I won’t use antibiotics. Thanks ❤️

I use The Ordinary Retinol 1% everyday, but on top of my other products then top it off with moisturiser, works great for my skin, just make sure you don’t use too much though, else it will dry and flake your skin. Also try pantothenic acid if you don’t like to take antibiotics.

I wash my face in the morning because my skin is very dry, and I layer on a couple of moisturizers over my prescription rosacea medication and whatever treatments I put on over it. Depending on what one uses on one's face at night, it may not really be necessary to cleanse in the morning. And I *never* use cold or hot water on my face...always tepid! Cold and hot water is very bad for the skin.

I don’t care for Sunday Riley products but I do love their sunscreen because it doesn’t make my eyes burn. Almost every sunscreen I have tried on my face bothers my eyes, as well as most skincare products, so I have to be careful. I’m currently trying to find a good serum to use under my moisturizer.

I just found this vitamin c serum at CVS called Pura d’or and it has good reviews and it also has Ferulic acid in it along with a few other things. I never heard of it but I’m giving it a try. The bottle is huge and it’s only $15. Has anyone heard of this or tried it

Question if you have the time ➡️ I’ve been afraid of buying products with any type of algae ever since a skincare professional doing a peeling told me that because of my Thyroid (hypothyroidism) I couldn’t use it topically anywhere near my neck. Is this true? P.S. one of the happiest things i’ve ever heard in my life was the first time i heard you talking about using your favorite moisturizer as eye care… it save me years of worry that I wasn’t buying these very expensive tiny tubes and doing just what you said, applying my fav moisturizer everywhere! thank you for that and your sunny disposition!

Weirdly enough, I had no problems with thise CEO serum from SR, but I had terrible breaking out experience with Drunk Elephant C serum. which everybody seems to love....I really hated this stuff from its texture and tuckiness to what it did to my skin. After that I'm afraid to use other vit.C products because it was gross. And I had no good experience with the Ordinary serums or solutions, not at all, virtually with anything except that red acid exfoliant thing. ...so...we're all different and have different experiences with same products

Just discovered you and am obsessed. I'm allergic to citrus topically...serverly . Lol. I'm currently an esthetician student and am in love. I want to be a medical esthetician when it's all said and done. Jenluvs is who inspired me and ultimately is the reason I am following my dream of skincare. I love the chemistry and science behind skincare and have stories from using skincare when I was only 11...so I'd say it's a passion . However, we have a teacher who just graduated and isn't giving us her all and I feel like I need more. Is there any chance you offer a course of some kind? I really feel like I've learned a lot from you in such a short time and would pay to learn further.
