To sum it up: It depends on intensity. Min intensity (short breath hold with no contractions, weather its static or dynamic ) - You can do it almost every day. with a rest day once every few days. Medium Intensity - Apnea with ontractions lasting no more 30sec - 2 days of training 1 day off. High Intensity - Contractions lasting 30sec or more. 1 day training, 1 day off MAX intensity, checking ur limit - once every week or two or five. so basically the more intense you training
Thanks. I'm trying to prep for a coming competition in mid-August. I'm pushing towards a 5 min. STA and after that would like to see myself go farther. In the past my physical limit has been right around 4 min. and 50 seconds (twice I've had black out at about this time. Currently I am adding 5 seconds every other day and not training hard on the middle day. This morning I did 4 min. and 45 seconds. After today, every other day I would be doing personal bests for my breath holds. How far do you think I can take this or do you think I should approach things differently?
If you already had 2 BO, I would say that you have not the best approach. PB attempt shouldn't be done too often. Work on your relaxation (both physical and mental), CO2 tolerance, and don't try to progress fast. Good luck!
jak tam wariacie? znasz odpowiedź jak dalej nie to podobno w ogóle nie opłaca się początkującym trenować o2 bo i tak ich głównym problemem jest słaba odporność na CO2, ile teraz wytrzymujjesz?
Thanks for the vid I have been trying to find the answer to this question for a while, and your answer makes total sense. Is it normal that I have the most contractions in the first breath hold as well as the last in my CO2 table? The last makes sense to me but the first, is that normal? Thank you!
