The issue of fiscal federalism has been in focus with southern states protesting against the Modi government. Economist R Ramakumar has found that the Union government has been keeping more money from the states by increasing cess & surcharge and not adding that to the reserve fund. In addition, they also owe states around Rs 5.6 lakh cr to the states as per the 14th and 15th Finance Commission reports.

In Telanagana many housing projects are majorly funded by Central Govt, but BRS ensures that this is never known to common citizens.

I do not agree with reports from economists, who rely on so called statistics. All that is required is to find out whether people at the helm of affairs indulge in acquiring personal benefits leading to big big scams. If the commonman believes that the P.M & his men are interested in country's progress & welfare instead for their own good, there need not be a change of guard. One of the few best videos that deserves to be listened in by illiterate politicians, who often lectures on fiscal policies and taxations. Academically, I always believe informed choice of the voters must depend on their knowledge of political economy of the country and governments from time to time. So, it should be part of a compulsory curriculum at secondary levels of schools, much like mathematics and language papers.

Centre wants state's must follow the instructions of central government, for minimum amount to promote the SAHEB. BUT the States don't want to promote the photo of the ruling party in central
