Thank you for this video. I've been looking for a well rounded explanation of how to use the Mother 32 and this was it. After watching it I was able to make better use of it than before.

That was a fantastic explanation. I actually managed to reproduce this almost exactly on the my Matriarch. I've been wanting to expand and am really torn between a Mother-32 and a Subharmonicon. The fact that I could do this on the Matriarch is actually making me lean toward the Subharmonicon just so as to throw something really different into the mix. Thanks.

Initial pattern was dope!! 90’s hip hop! I like how even simple patterns and patches sound majestic on the Moog. Some other modules require massive finagling.

When I set up a sequence and patch exactly the same as in the video, my M32 fades out after one sequence. Only continously turning the tempo/gatelength knob results in the sequence playing. Releasing the knob results in silence. Why is this?

Seems like it would be easier to tune the LFO by stopping the sequencer, switching the VCA mode to on, and hitting a note while you adjust the lfo.

Interesting, when I press the indicated 4 knobs I can not get into SetUp mode. Do you have some idea what could be the cause? Thank you

Hey, I can’t get that random temp sound thing you did. I’ve done everything you did accordingly the patch bay and I dunno why it’s not working :( any help? (I’m new to the modular stuff I got my Mother 32 a few days ago lmao)

Hey! Dig into the manual. I’m guessing you need to adjust what is actually coming out of the random output. I don’t have mine anymore so I can’t tell you specifically, sorry! Good luck!

Hmm, the new Akai MPC X has the the cv in.. will this pair with the MPC X??

I have yet to try the MPC X for myself, but it does look like the MPC X has eight CV Gate outputs. Which means, yes, you could either sync the Mother-32 to the MPC X or trigger the Mother-32 with the MPC X.

Sure. But the frequency of the VCO is controlled by the built-in sequencer/keyboard.

+Red Ox, I'm using the Alesis MIDIVerb II. Great sounding digital reverb. You can find them used for pretty cheap.

Raúl Ignacio Porro Cabrera I have this same problem when connecting mult1 to the tempo. It seems to only play a phrase of the sequence and then stop.
