4:10 Castling is the only move where two pieces move at the same time, but if you checkmate me enough times I'll make the entire board move all at once through the window.
You forgot to explain checkmate. Checkmate is if the king is in check and the king can’t move, no pieces can capture the piece that gives the check and no pieces can block the check.
If you stick with it for 5 years you might just break 2000elo with it!!!!! But yeah agreed man that shit is brutal. Spent two years straight losing a loooooot of games. Got the happy ending in the end tho
Overall yes. But in practice, knight is better early game (can jump over all the pieces in the way) and bishop is better later game (can cover more squares as long as it’s not blocked).
I thought about it but basic chess notations are very easy to intuitively understand, and the more complex ones really are not needed for a beginner. Also thank you man, I completely forgot to add some timestamps!
