I saw most of the people used the sentence "I'm Afraid That". But I don't know what does it exactly mean and when it is use. Could you tell me how can I use this sentence.

We use * I'm afraid* when we are giving a response which is unhelpful but the reason is outside our control. It means something like "I would help you if I could, but I can't".

dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/afraid This is your room it's rather small, I'm afraid. I don't agree at all, I'm afraid. I'm afraid you've completely misunderstood the question. [+ (that)] I'm afraid (that) we can't come this evening after all. "Was she impressed with our work?" "I'm afraid not (= no)." "Does this mean I've got to leave?" "I'm afraid so." (= Yes.)
