Explaining my Anti-lag setup on my WRX (Carberry)

I've got the same setup with Carberry but the anti-lag is set to only work above around 4k so its easier to deal with in low rpm

Well guys, i am still tuning carberry on my jdm ej205. Cylinder temps go pretty high on this. HOWEVER really happy to see guys showing this off!! Its not really antilag, its the iac valve staying open as the map shows. Then ur running -20 timing across the rev band with the resulting raised idle. You also lose brake vacuum, so watch it the brake will be a bit tweaked.

Any idea whty your idle A/F ratio is 18/19? that seems lean, my Subaru, and my friends run 14-15 at idle bro? is it part of the tune?

Anti lag is great for killing the turbo mate.. if you get a chance, go for a 207 bottom end and reco 205 heads.. the 205 is the standard engine for mine and it's old and slow

hey bro, ive been learning to tune opensource on my wrx mostly maf based stuff and i wanna make the speed density switch to the car berry rom, is there any tips/ links etc to guide me on how to / what i need to do to go about flashing the carberry rom ? i have a pretty good idea about the basics when setting up for carberry but still a bit unsure of how to go about it.

I think its not just rising the rpm, sounds like it retards the ignition timing and adds fuel when you let off and on idle. Usually what ALS does is a combination of the 3 ,open the Throttle or a bypass valve to get exess air into the exhaust manifold than retards the iglition timing so the explosion is still occurring when the exhaust valves open and adds fuel to make the „explosion“ in the manifold bigger. ALS just shifts the timing in idle and letting off never under power. PS: sounds sick and if it does the timing stuff its a LEGIT Anti Lag System and thats some Freaking Racecar stuff and you should just use it every now and than cause it really can do some Damage over time

So I'm guessing the switches to keep the throttle flap open for anti lag ? Used to wot box and am wondering if it's like setting an alternate rpm for rolling shifts with a secondary rpm limiter ?

Are you going to do Rallying? Absolutely pointless in the street, otherwise it's only good for shortening the life of that EJ205. A two-step for Launch Control on the other hand may actually serve some purpose, while still being able to impress spectators with the pops and bangs.

ALS in a production car is not really a true Anti-lag. A complete system require many modifications and would melt most stock turbo impellers. Ant-lag needs a fresh air valve feeding each individual exhaust runner combining with the unburnt fuel. It can work in a conventional method , but it makes the car rather unpredictable resulting in poor drivablity.
