Thanks HR. Especially helpful to understand flaws in the nuke deal and the results of strategic hopefulness being basically, disastrous. Know your enemy, Sun Su I think. It seems to my high school ed self, we need to have some grasp of the thinking of the Iranian people by percentage: What are their levels of Sharia' compliance and support for the worldwide conquest mission? Will it ever be possible to have true peace with a country that has an imperialist doctrine, as we see happening with communist countries, no real peace? Knowing our enemy should mean not just the leadership, but how the populous will be in support of their mission. Can we get this message to the American people, news media, academia, entertainment, so we have a unified populace ourselves, to support our policies? It must be the 'job' of conservatives it seems to show the importance of America and its goodness on the whole, as the essential nation for world peace to be upheld, since our well meaning friends on the left have erroneously bought into the utopian dream...agree? Big PR project for us my thinking, to deprogram Western countries from the basically Marxist propaganda that we are the cause of all world problems and need to be destroyed and in the thinking of some, replaced as a population. Tough job but must be done. I was a bit disappointed to hear you mention the "rise of populist parties," which seemed a negative comment to me. Those parties, realizing the suffering inflicted on them without a vote, of Merkel's mass migration plan, have risen up in defense of their countries, people, customs and traditions, and women and girls and school children. Sweden's youth on youth dominance crimes are gut wrenching, and only one facet of the overall violent crime spike in the country. VDH talks about 'healthy nationalism' I think, and that's what I see in Europe on the rise. Article by Judith Bergman of Gatestone Inst. on the youth on youth crime in Sweden, the link follows: www.gatestoneinstitute.org/15808/fing-swede Thanks for all the insights, from the inside of policy making.

So the moderates are in jail in Huston? Hmm. A retired general with a sense of humor? Hmm. You are informative. You served 30 or so years. I served 4. same age. A doctor of history. Plumber. You are animated when speaking of thing you know and understand. Same. You might be boring to those with less interest in the world around them and more interested in fantasy in their own minds. I have that effect. better educated by far than myself, but then the views reflect in a near same vector. If one seeks understanding, the degree of intelligence information is no more than conformation of direction. I hate Trump. He is an idiot at far as I am concerned. Half measure clown. Just might point of view. Biden is a problem also. It is hard to find what one needs in a voting booth. So many times the individual that is running is running in a general direction and there is no clear path in his or her words. Just that that person want the job. As job interviews go most politicians don't interview at all. Don't have clear direction at all. And the politician with the most unclear prospective or uneducated prospective seems to manage more votes. "Well the dude from the dude ranch is saying something that I like about the issues that I am interested in but He is not real clear so that is a good thing for me." "If he does something that suits me then I voted for him and if he does something I don't like I can trash him." mentality of the basic human animal is horrific. O well. such is life on the animal planet.

Understand your sentiments David, 2 yrs Vietnam here and 70 now still doing part time carpentry. Agree Trump has personality flaws that are polarizing. I'll just say many of us can see that he was the right man for the season to get us out of the political doldrums and put his finger on genuine problems and did something about many of them, attempting to keep his word. Have seen a lot of HR lately at Hoover programs online. A good man worth listening to.
