Hard not to play human when you can make it look exactly like you do in real life but at the same time the orcs look incredible. Will definitely be a last minute call once I get my hands on the character creator
I think all classes will be represented well, as the criteria you describe (aesthetic) mostly just applies to people who care about aesthetic. Alot of people who want to be end game pvp or PvE players and min-max their builds will chose their race based on the strengths of the race. For instance dwarves are going to be good for tanks and paladins I imagine, I imagine orc will be good for fighters and damage dealers, and the elf class will be good for mages and bow rangers
Kinda hyped for the last race. They seem the most unique. I always liked the lizardman, mostly because of all the reptilian memes and conspiracies. And seeing we can make one here is nice. They should be the biggest tho. Obviously reptiles on earth now are not that big, but they used to be dinosaurs for gods sake. I need my dragon like battlemage to be huge, swinging a giant sword and breathing fire on fools.
@@privateuser3726 nothing reached the size of dinos on land to my limited knowledge. But speaking of mega fauna, it would also be really cool to play a giant insectoid from that time earth had a lot more oxygen and allowed them to grow hella big.
Nice video! I think the racial augments and racial stats will change a lot of peoples minds from what they think they might play so far. I'm liking the Nikua and the Vek so far but when the Summoner is revealed, that may go out the window. Can't wait! Thanks again!

Tulnar Summoner, Ren'Kai Rogue or Dünir Cleric/Mage is what i will be going for i want to see more of the game first and get a feeling about how it actually plays though
It is great they do not look like any other MMO out there. Congrats AoC devs and it is looking good. Hope you announce the start of A2 so I can purchase it knowing when I can play the game.
As it seems likely that I will be playing casually, I will be doing a lot of exploring, so am attracted to either Nikua or Py'rai. If the mercenary team pans out, then Vek.
I am not sure which race I want to play yet but I am leaning towards the vek because I love races with purple skin tones, if the Tulnar are able to to look like a faun race I may play them instead. I will also only ever choose my race based on their appearance and lore never for their stats.
I think my race will depend on my class, but the three most likely are the Tulnar (if I pick tank), Empyrean (if I pick mage), and Kaelar (if I pick fighter). As for the Kaelar, I generally try to stay away from humans when I could pick something else, but for what I'm going for, the classic suits my needs.
Tulnar, Vaelune, Renkai, Nikua. Those are all the ones I know I'm going to make, but I may also make a Vek and a Dunnir. NGL, if anyone makes multiple alts of the same race, they're smooth-brained imo. If the game lets me save looks, I'm going to make a bunch and have them on hand for whenever I make an alt.

In FFXIV I'm a femroe so I'm probably going to stay with the Ren'Kai but I might go empyrean to try something new. I'm so excited for this game I hope they are done soon! I'm thining it will be another 2-3 years at the least but we will see!!!!!
With such extensive customization options it would be a shame if the game didn't have cutscenes where you could see the character you have created talk and move.
Well it's pretty much still a guarantee I'll play Tulnar, as the fucking furry that I am... but hey, who knows. Maybe I may finally be able to make a human or elf that actually is pleasant to look at for once.

I was hoping at least one of the non-elf/human races will be interesting like undead are in wow. That does not seem to be the case, so it will be 45% humans, 35% elves (not the goat ones) and then the rest...
