I’m going to treasure the moments of kindness that I saw given to baby Hope. It was evident her very short life before that was brutal. You at least provided love and care she never had before. The Animal kingdom thanks you❤
She was sick when you got her she wouldn’t drink milk properly if you didn’t get her she would not of known the love you gave her and she would of died anyway in the marketplace
I am so sorry Yudi and Erna. You tried to save her and you gave her compassion and love in her last days. She was a sweet little soul and I think she was just too damaged and traumatized when you got her. This was not your fault. ❤️

This channel should be called maybe you should NOT get newborn monkeys. That’s two just recently that have died on your watch. It seems simple enough, feed them every few hours and let them cling to you instead of leaving them in a basket all day. They are social creatures
We all know how hard both of you worked to keep Baby Hope alive. You did your best, but she was just too weak to continue in this life. Baby Hope gave us all a small amount of time to think outside ourselves and focus our love and attention on this little soul. It takes sleepless nights, long hours, trial and errors. There are times of joy and also times of tears. It just happened that poor Hope had some issues beyond control. I've been following you for a long time and I know how carefully you take care of your monkeys. Hope was already weak and injured when you took her in. You said yourself that was the main reason you did it. I think she would have been dead a long time ago if you hadn't taken her in. So I think you prolonged her life quite significantly. You have nothing to blame yourself for.

Sorry Yudi. No need to apologize. You did the best for Hope. Not your fault. She was doing good and starting to suck soy milk and formula. You tried so hard to save her. We nor you don't know what was going on internally. The doctor neither. Just know, you gave Hope her best days even though her last of days. She might have had an oxygen issue. Reason she always tucked her head to sleep and being in Emma's arms of warmth and comfort. Sorry for your lost. You gave her an extension of a caring life.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢

Iam so sorry for your loss you tried your best for hope she didn't die alone in a dirty cage in a market with no one giving her any love at least she felt that from you in her short time you have to stay strong for your other little ones
Easy one to call, sadly. Just the way it was. Were you told how uneducated you were for daring to have an opinion that was counter to many other commenters? I sure did, and that was with backing up my stance and reasons while stating that Yudi had actually kept her alive longer than she ever would have been and she was lucky to have at least been shown some kindness. I guess that's enough to upset people. But you were 100% right, and it was painfully obvious even then. Again, at least she didn't die in a cage at a market, and was able to cling and get comfort.
I believe we all had that notion in the back of our minds, it's was clear that there was something wrong internally, whether the vet new this & this is why no sonogram, no blood work ,no injections, who knows but she should have been put down humanly because it was clear hope was suffering badly, the little whimper & sad eyes ,she was suffering unnecessarily, but she's now @ peace, no human or Animal should go thru that❤🙏
I am so sorry for your loss. You gave baby Hope a taste of heaven before she left, with the care and affection your surrounded her with. After you very literally rescued her from a hellish passing at the market. She was able to heal, to not be in pain from the wounds she had on her wrist. And she was spoiled with all the fruit her little heart could desire. For such a young tiny thing, she seemed to have the will of a giant, and she definitely lived out this week on her own terms. I don't think I'll ever forget how she would hug her medicine bottles or control the syringes for you. She definitely knew what you did and were doing for her, and she seemed to have no issue with the two of you and your house becoming her entire world. She passed where she'd have wanted to, even if it was such a short stay. Bless you both for your open hearts and the work you do.

MAYBE God wanted Hope more because He knew what she had was something man could not fix. Dude, on;y God truly knows ones heart and that is your personal thing. I am thankful she spent her short life with you and ms ema. i know Hope would thank you for the love you gave but tell you that where she is there is no pain. she misses you too and she is happy. Sorry for your loss. Maybe concentrate on the ones you have at home now. Quit rescueing sick babies from the market. You do what you can for them but if it's not enough. It seems they need more than homeopathic medicinal ways to survive. The babies you have in your back yard need your attention now. Allowing those 2 baby monkeys to suffer was unacceptable! If your going to continue taking in sick babies get something to help them pass. Do not let them suffer... That is inhumane!
Whats inhuman is the people who take the baby monkeys and leave them in a cage to get in that sick condition just to sell a monkey that they know is going to die hust to make sone money, at Yudi tries to make them better and most of the time he succeeds, and he has to get a companion for scott, because he cant be released with the others, maybe he can but a monkey closer to his age would be better, and yes i know theres a cycle of buying and selling thr monkeys but you cant make the etire world stop buying them all at once to force the poachers to stop taking them, at least hope and ruby had some love before they died, instead of dying i a cage laying in their own poop just to be tossed in a trash can
I suggest if you're going to continue to make comments like this, then back them up and go to you're local humane society and donate whatever you can to help, i do from time to time, and when i go to the pet store to buy something for my dog i donate by purchasing both dog and cat food from them as they give the donations to the humane society, so maybe worry about what goes on in your country forna start and make a difference where you can, not trying to be rude, i am just blunt

Yudi, you and Erna did your best. Over the years I lost many patients, some expected, some not. No matter what tho, it hurts, I completely understand that feeling. You worked around the clock to do the best for her, and in the end she was just too weak and sick. I agree she had some sort of internal derangement, who even knows, but I doubt no matter what you would have done she still would have passed. Just know that you gave her love and warmth and happiness that she wouldn’t have otherwise had without you. Don’t let this get you down, you truly have a gift and you should continue to use it to help save these poor babies. Even if you lose 20 and save one, it’s worth it. And yes there are going to be the jackasses who blame you, they always show up. Ignore them, don’t take their insults personally, they are sad pathetic individuals. Take your time to grieve her and then get right back at being a baby monkey savior 🐒❤️.

My only issue is a baby monkey that young and sick and small shouldn’t sleep alone, shouldn’t be with out a warm body to cling too. But I also get you can’t let them bond too close to you or is it safe to sleep in the same bed for many reasons. I am just upset. In general. I hate that this keeps happening. But I guess that’s what’s gonna happen when you are trying to help the weak sick critical ones. They don’t make it easily in mature either. And I know your do all you can but I would never let those babies sleep alone until they are a year old. That’s just me. They need live contact, clinging, and love constantly from a warm being. That doesn’t mean you have to spoil them. You have to foster independence for their survival. But when do you start that? When they are 3 months, 6 months, a year old? I guess it’s a careful balance. But to have Ruby go, after Xander, and now Hope. For every two monkeys you save one dies. Which is better numbers than in the wild. But still. Wish you lost none of them.

Thank you for letting us know. And as much as you try; you can't save them all. Even vets can't save them all. I lost my 12 year old Border Collie (Ruby) to disease and there was nothing I or the Vet could do for her; so sadly we had to put her down. One thing is certain Yudi; you gave her a fighting chance; loved and cared for her; something Hope would have never got being in a cage at the market. Hugs to you and Erna!

i am so sorry for the loss of this baby. I know that you and your wife did everything within your power to save her and make her comfortable. I also know that you do not have access to vets who specialize in caring for monkeys where you live. You held her and loved her and she took comfort in your attention to her. I will be happy to be of further assistance in the future and I urge you to continue learning more about proper monkey care. You may be able to become certified and licensed as a monkey rescuer and rehabber. You have a gift. Use it wisely.

I hate to say it but I think you almost do this to yourself. You have a big heart. So you go out and find the most hopeless cases of baby monkeys that are too thin, small, or are ill and you can't resist trying to save them from their current incarceration and see if you are up to the challenge of nursing them back to health. But in choosing the worst cases you are severely limiting your success rate at rehabilitation. I do not think it is an exaggeration to say that these monkeys were certainly going to die where they were when you found them. You gave them a fighting chance. That is more than they had before.
