For a company that had been blowing up cars for years, i think it was a huge fail that the car blew up before impact... Other than that, it was a nice action scene. Imagine that failure in a real movie? They had to buy a new car, weld that gas thing, prepare and clean the truck, buy new explosives, and on and on and on... all again because someone triggered the bomb a split second before it should be... Damn...

I was 3 months old when this was aired on March 2003

That exploded way too early.

We had a hatchback the other night, at the end of my street which ignited itself somehow (the owner just came home, and parked it minutes before it happened), it had flames all over, they were even about a half meter high above the roof and burning severely - and that car did'nt even explode. When the firefighters came, they just walked up to it, and smacked the rest of the windows, to then spray water into the car from two sides at the same time. After that, the guy who smacked the windows, forced the bonnet open with his crowbar - and then they sprayed water into the engine too, and it was all over in about 1 minute... The only "overwhelming thing" was the amount of smoke, that emerged from the car when the water hit it, I think like a 10 meter tall cloud of smoke (and condensed water) arose from the burning car, which looked pretty cool in the cold night where there was no wind at all..

They bash up two nice cars, blow one to bits, and all in the name of a movie effect that ended up being miss-timed.

What year is this from?

I feel blowing cars up is overrated, a slow-motion shot of it flipping end over end over the roofs of other cars is a lot more interesting. After it stops, then maybe you can blow it up, but blowing it up at the moment of impact just takes away from the metal bending carnage!
