We Explore armenia in our overland truck and are blown away by how naturally beautiful & mountainous the country is, we meet fellow travellers and learn just how bad the roads really are.
Come with us as we travel through breathtaking scenery, stop in great overnight locations & start to appreciate the Caucasus lesser known gem.
We're currently in Armenia and (fingers crossed!) we'll get into Azerbaijan, on the edge of the Caspian Sea.

Hey, how many days had expired on your bikes insurance? Did they ask to see all your insurance papers when you left? Our car insurance expires tomorrow but we want to spend one extra day in Georgia

Hi Joanna I think it was a couple of weeks, but they wanted to see insurance document for both vehicles as we were leaving. The fine was 100GEL, but we didn't need to pay it unless we were returning, so you might get a fine but be ok if you don't intend returning.

Great thanks. When we left Georgia to Armenia they didn’t ask to see our insurance (or coming back into Georgia). Let’s hope the border crossing into turkey is the same 🤞

Did you buy insurance at the Armenia border? Assume it was Bagratashen? TİA

Hi Paul we bought online in advance from aswa.am/ which is the govt aggregator fot their compulsory CMPTL 3rd party insurance. Once you've entered all the details you'll get quotes from 6-7 different companies (which are identical!) - we went with InGo as they're well known in the overlanding community. You can use a UK card to pay online and download your certificate to print or show on your phone at the border.
