Explore Elvis' Peaceful Retreat: The Circle G Ranch 🏞️
Journey back with Stig Ulrichsen to 1967 and discover the serene haven that was Elvis Presley's Circle G Ranch. Amidst the rolling fields and rustic charm, Elvis, Priscilla, and their close-knit circle of friends found joy, laughter, and a sense of peace that Elvis had been seeking.
Situated at the crossroads of Highway 301 and Goodman Road (Highway 302) on the Tennessee-Mississippi border, Circle G wasn't just a ranch-it was a sanctuary for Elvis. It marked one of the most contented chapters in the King's life.

I lived next to his ranch. We watched them out there riding horses. My Horn Lake School bus stopped at the gate every morning and some little girl got on. Bull Frog Corner there was just a 4 way Stop sign in those days. We lived at Highway 301 and nail Road in the Manns Trailer Park. The horse shoe drive way is still there today. :) I later served in the Army in Elvis' same Unit at Ray Barracks in the 1/32 Armor battalion. I too lived in Bad Nauhiem Germany like Elvis did. :)

Beautiful story about Elvis's circle G ranch farm, plus my father made the same and cause of that my parent's are both Elvis fan's , plus a couple of years ago, we gotten to meet Mike McGregor back in the 86 or 90's , because they had these different store's across from Memphis many year's ago , plus my father boughten 2 Elvis Belt's that Mike McGregor made for Elvis Presley and also gotten other stuff from Mike McGregor , he was an amazing man and funny guy , plus I will never ever forget about him cause I knew all about this farm though Mike McGregor and he was a really nice man and he would tell me stories to when he was working for Elvis and same with my parent's , plus he loved my parent's van ... R.I.P Mike McGregor , you will always be in my heart and never forgotten from the Circle G Ranch here from Canada Ontario here aka Elvis van Number 1 in Canada Ontario and the sates , like as Mike McGregor would say ... plus love this story again , the best story ever told , but sad at the end .... 🥰🥰🎸🎸

The city ordinances wouldn’t let him do what he wanted on the piece of property so he got disenchanted with it. He did buy another place called the hound dog ranch outside of Henderson Tennessee. But he always tried to keep it quiet so they could be in privacy. I think it’s the place that Priscilla snd Lisa have now? Not sure.

Hi from South of France, very interesting story ! Thank you for this good work ! Always happy when I learn something about Mr Presley ! It was probably a good time for him but what a pity to not have enjoyed more long ... He looked like happy during this period ... Fame came too quickly and he was not ready, alone among all people around him, a very young wife , even if his father checked his finances, MM was too present ... everything was TOO MUCH and NOT ENOUGH . I feel often sad for Elvis Presley, a star left too early ... to join his mom ...

I think that Elvis drove them empty, because he had so much fun and did’nt think of it, because his Friends normally made sure they had gas. Elvis was never wearing Cash or paying directly himself.

ELVIS might of wanted to build some homes like the one in Hollywood hills. Which would be nice at the ranch. Instead he bought trailers that only lasted till he had to go back to Hollywood to do the last 2 movies. He probably happy there because that's where LISA MARIE, WAS CONCEIVED. ❣️❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️❣️

Each time Elvis gives a man an upgraded truck for FREE, and the stupid fool complains if there's gas in it! If the man was grateful, he would've said no Elvis I'll stay with the first one. Elvis answered him very well by saying YOU KNOW WHERE THE GAS STATION IS! How humiliating for a rich man giving me a nice upgraded FREE truck telling me I know where the gas station is. Ignorance existed back then too. Vernan was tricked into financial management due to his own selfish gains, when Vernan was not the proper person to manage the business. He screwed is responsible for screwing his son - he too took from the books. They all used Elvis and dragged him to his grave at a young age.
@christinelaurent165

I always thought that Elvis was tired of making these dumb movies and have to record equally dumb songs after each movie. His job as actor didn't not satisfy him at all. He realised that the contract of 3 movies by year was a trap for him.... and for the film company which did the bare minimum to honor him, never worrying about the real value of the scripts and the songs (-The contract signed by the Colonel with the film was that a LP had to be released for each film !!!) STUPID. When Elvis took over this ranch, he really find meaning in his life. He occupied his mind to other thing than the mediocrity of the films he made each year... I think he nor was made to remain idle. When he made his come back to the stage in 1968 with the famous TV SHOW, I am sure he really happy too... Even if there, on contrary, the pace of work ended up wearing down his health
