As the local Austrians call it, Schloss Hellbrunn, this Baroque castle is not only stunning and very entertaining to walk through, it is famous! It was featured in the Sound of Music! It was built in the 1600s as a summer residence for Markus Sittikus, the archbishop of Salzburg, but only for the day as there are no bedrooms. As it is a place of leisure, there were many games here, including "water games" or trick fountains, which you can experience for yourself on tour. Be warned, you may get wet!
