Explore the magnificent Ventnor West in OO 

I lived on the Isle of Wight for many years. I didn’t get to see much of it unfortunately. I was in Parkhurst. Just kidding. Great layout. Keep up the good work.

Awesome layout, that interlocking is pretty neat.

When I was at the Astolat MRC exhibition in Guildford in 2014, a modeller had a “What if?” layout of Ventnor with electric trains running on down from Shanklin. He also ran it with steam as well. I never could understand why the 3rd rail on went to Shanklin and no further. I know it has been many times suggested that the truncated section could be re-opened even as recently as 2023. Loved your Ventnor West model, very authentic.

Lovely model of a lost railway gem. It's a treat to hear the stories too. There were and still are, some fabulous railways and locations on the Isle of Wight - my birthplace and home from age 0 yrs to 12 yrs. (1948 - 1959/60) I often went train spotting and travelled on the trains. Such great days!
