I totally understand the interior choice of the owner. For long distance cruising you don't want a floating hotel; you want a home. And this boat feels like home.
I would agree with you except for all of the exposed conduit for the light switches and such. I guess if you lived in a loft in New York City or a warehouse. At first I liked it and I figured it was from decades of doing electrical work myself but by the end of the video the newness factor had worn off and I would prefer that the wiring be inside the walls like in my home. I will say I did like the “normalcy” look instead of looking like a suite in Monaco where everything is a piece of art and chandeliers everywhere
Very little to do with homely I'd say. It's just industrial was the trendy flavour at the time and there was plenty of money to apply it as a theme. If the 'under graffiti covered rusty bridge with wet cardboard' look ever gets as popular you'd be seeing that xD
There’s no discussion, this is an amazing explorer yacht! But what I like the most, is that the owners clearly followed their own vision when designing the interior! It might not be to everyone’s taste (but what is?), but it’s absolutely unique and designed to every detail. Thanks for sharing another very special tour 💙
I didn't see one thing on this yacht I didn't like. The level of craftsmanship is one to be emulated. Thank you Victoria and Rico for another great tour! 💚
I love this yacht, of course, but I def saw two flaws. I see they wanted to maximize storage but the shelving in front of the tv's was unusual. Also, the large and long wooden table that had like many open and wide seams...I can just imagine the crew just loves cleaning the grooves
This is now my TOP PICK! I couldn’t/wouldn’t change a thing. The interior design, furnishings and staging is PERFECT. They’ve achieved the exact balance of comfort with elegance! Peace
I’m very grateful RU-vid keeps suggesting this tour to me… I’ve passed it over so many times now but having finally watched it I’ve actually fallen in love with it… gotta love the geeking out Rico in the engine room too
that is the nicest interior i have seen on any yacht. its fantastic. most yachts you feel like you dont want to even touch anything because you might put hand prints on something. everywhere you walk someone needs to follow you with a polish rag. this one is refreshing and warm. love it
From bow to stern, the understated quality speaks of an owner who doesn’t need to show off. The only thing I would change is to make the table in an LCD river style. Definitely my favorite you have shown to date.
Such a beautiful blend of 'Industrial Loft with Reclaimed Barn wood',and casual comfort. It's more of a true floating home.Well done to the Owners, and the builders too!
You two make fun guides...I feel like I just got the "insider" stem to stern tour. This CdM is so bespoke its like a 3-D evocation of the owner's personality. He gave himself the gift of living exactly as he likes. The result is sociable yet private, comfortable, handsome and first quality. The A frame lift is brilliant!
This looks like the Bering 145 foredeck from the bridge station to the bow. The poles for aft shading and the thoses lights. I like it, I think that it could have been slightly shorter than it was, as its only LED lighting after all. The stone Sinks are brilliant. Absolutely love the utility room/extra spare cabin, good idea. Fantastic engine room, loved the corridor with access to the areas not usually able to be accessible to crew, especially underway if needed. Like the weights area with multipurpose sides areas.
WOW!!! If I had the money for a yacht/super yacht I don’t t think I would need something this big. But maybe something a lot like this in the 60-70 foot range. I loved the interior styling and I totally agree with Victoria that the master could lose one head for dry/steam sauna. Beautiful boat and beautiful job show casing it for us. Thank you.
My favorite yacht so far, beauty and function in a nautical home. Love the private top deck with spa. Much respect to the owner for such accommodating crew quarters. A comfortable crew is . . .
I absolutely love the utility room idea as it is laid out on this vessel. I don’t know why this isn’t a sort of standard concept on explorer yachts in general. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
a mightily impressive yacht ... with loads of high end finishes disguised as being rustic ... they did an amazing job with this yacht i would like to see Alexi's 145 foot yacht to compare with this one .... cheers for sharing Rico & Victoria 😍😍
Probably one of my favorites of all vessels you have toured thus far. Right there with the Bering 77 and new 145. Super smart to create work surfaces above the power equipment. The one thing lacking in most of these vessels is work top space. Small or large, in interior bench top with a proper vice and toolbox is an absolute must for me. This boat is an absolute dream ride and based on the details right down to the audio equipment, you can tell the owner of this vessel is ALL about the finest quality in every way. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
@@zzzxxzzz3248, I just took a look around and found a 142 CDM Flexplorer for 2022 delivery at about $22,000,000US. The way this 130 is spec’d out with such unreal high end detail and accommodation, I would think it’s not much below that price point. Absolutely fabulous yacht and quite frankly, if I was in that position, I would ask how closely would they be able to replicate it and adding a few personal changes I would love to see. This thing is awesome. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
The ultimate rock and roll aesthetic... Love it. I can certainly understand why you were exited by this one. Just that sound system would be worth as much as a very nice car.... This is one hell of a boat. Also well done to present it so well. Your usual high quality of work even with heaps of other people around. Awesome job guys.
@@NautiStyles I noticed in the specs the amount of fuel it takes to move that behemoth around lol. I just finished watching your 3 videos of the 92 and that boat uses 1/3 the fuel to cover the same distance lol. Just goes to show you bigger isn’t always better lol. Except for showers then bigger is better so you can dance the night away lol
Just watched it two more times because that's what I normally do, the yacht is amazing the exterior is fantastic, the helm amazing but can't get to like the interior reminds me of a 1920's ship. Love the "oh my jod". Fantastic work guy's and thanks for bringing us such a fantastic range of vessels.
Easily, of all the tour's you've brought us along on, this "Aurelia" is the ship I would choose. Brilliantly designed, totally livable. I have to admit 130' is a little too big Crew. Well done.
Radar range is limited to line of sight. Depends on height of the antenna, and power of the radar. Not likely to be anymore than around 50 miles. The smaller radar no doubt gets much better resolution at short ranges and would be used for navigation and such. The long range would just give them better long range situational awareness. These are not military type air search radars, just for the surface. I'm sure they are every bit as good as the military use.
CDM and the owner of this lovely ship are amazing, Love all the artwork as you went through too. I must be of the same age group. The deco was really awesome, some amazing ideas for the fixtures and bathrooms. And that wine cellar, freaking brilliant.
What a great boat. In my opinion, the interior design style is one that will never seem out of style. It's beautiful and understated at the same time. Gorgeous.
My take on the overhead lift would be for a personal Mini Sub? Love the see through deck and a very nice cruiser overall impression 😁 you guys are a breath of fresh air! Beautiful ❤️
Brilliant design and construction. I still can’t get over the level of quality and competence of Bering 77 you recently reviewed. So this boat is mental overkill, but It is easy to have great respect for both builders.
The nicest one I've seen ya guys do. Very sturdy in look without to much pretentiousness. Beautiful vibe of the yacht. The owner has good taste!! Great vid!!
These exploring yachts are just amazing! Can you fantastic people make selecting this type of yacht any harder? We really think this is your type of yacht if it came down to the nitty gritty.. Rico just loves to show all the nooks and crannies and Victoria loves showing the elegance of each yacht! Just love you guys 🇺🇸👍
This is the yacht I would live on full time if I could afford whatever I wanted. I'm not thrilled with quite _all_ the design choices (there's a couple of rugs I would replace if it were mine), but I absolutely love the galley; the small, private sun deck; everything designed for long distance, long-term use. It's perfect for living on while you explore the world. And while I don't usually like industrial design, this is done beautifully.
Great video, as for you question about the radar, it depends on what type or radar it is. If its an X-band (10Ghz) or S-band (3Ghz) will determine how far the radar pulse will reach. There are also many other factors like weather and such that effect radar range. X-band radars are better for long range scanning in general.
This is Marvellous, fabulous, wonderful and huge explore Yacht, I am sure was a rich sailor in my previous life, I love boats, but cant afford even a toy one in this life. In my next life I will born in a rich family for sure.
What an amazing Lady of the Sea, she has an elegant but industrial look, that sets her apart from the usual super yacht all crome and lacquer or satin type wood. She is unique. Great guest and crew quarters, and the galley fits for a banquet with a great main cabin is so different with the industrial look so much space. . Like the engine room. She is a very different stylish boat, her decor matches the explorer vibe. Great tour.
WOW just saw the little highlight video of this on CDMs channel. Aurelia's interiors look so unique!!! LOVE the industrial look 😍😍 The sky lounge is so beautiful and love the stairwell with it's massive wine cellar!!! Cannot wait to see y'alls full walkthrough of this stunning yacht.
@@NautiStyles oops sorry haha. Either way that little clip does not show too much and you can't get a full understanding of the interiors without a full walkthrough. That's why your channel is the best :)
Needs a Steam Sauna in Owners Bathroom and a Dry Sauna in the gym area. Switch on of the lounge into a movie theater for movie tonight. Add a super big day boat and a fishing boat on the back. Perfect now!
After watching this the 4th time it finally clicked as to the theme of the interior, it puts me and my wife in the mind of the southwest states circa the 1940-50s. The colours, wood, industrial feel to the various fixtures. All of them make me think of old movie studio, the artwork makes me think of a town called 'Sedona'. It's been teasing me and my wife for a year since we saw this video for the first time. Aurelia and Uptight are fantastic ships. The owners really know what they are about. It would be awesome if you guys could interview some of the owners, if they were open to that sort of thing. Especially now that you guys are in the build phase you're in. Even if it wasn't a live interview, maybe a "these are the things to watch out for" point list. Cdm and Bering for the win. Beautiful - intriguing ships.
Awesome tour as usual!! This boat was amazing! It felt/looked more like a luxury home than a luxury yacht!! Very relaxing & comfortable with so many special features. Well done!🛳👀💜
For those looking at the audio equipment that appears vintage looking, well, that is some of the highest quality Jadis listening equipment you can buy. That integrated tube power amp is probably $8000 to $10,000US all on its own. It’s serious audiophile stuff. The natural sound clarity and warmth of that tube driven amp is breathtaking. I have a collection of some old McIntosh equipment that I purchased from an estates sale. I ALMOST told them what it was worth until I heard one of the bratty 30 year old kids saying how he hated that he hated being scolded for going near the parents old junk, lol. So I got that entire system for $75 INCLUDING 6 McIntosh speakers. The whole set up is now worth about $20,000, LOL!! I paid $25 more for the gorgeous old Italian sewing machine they were selling, lol. It was good to be the first one there on THAT day, lol.
@@TheDjricorox, oh I killed it on that one Rico. That was my one real monster estate sale score. Next best was finding a highly collectable Paul McCobb table and 4 ugly chairs. When I was loading in the driveway a couple walked up and says, “Oh no. You got those chairs! We were coming back for those. You do know what they are, right?” I returned right away with “Yes I do. But I really don’t have room for them (that was BS, lol. No clue what they were AND I had plenty of room). What would you give me for them?” Drove out the driveway having made $200, lol. That McCobb table ended up being worth about $8000!! Killed it on that one too but the McIntosh audio set was the big one. Love when that kind of stuff happens!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻
To be fair it sounds like the Parents never involved their kids and used all that beautiful kit to help their kids appreciate it - says alot about the parents so I can understand them being glad to get rid of it, it obviously went to a better home!
I love the mixture of modern/country & industrial architectural design on this rig. Just for 2 weeks I would love to experience a millionaires lifestyle.
Wonderful boat (ship!), presented as always with a lot of style. I have been following this design and you are first with a walk through. The other mid size boat I like is the Mulder ThirtySix, would be great to see a tour if the opportunity presents.
Love the honesty of this yatch, its a legit ocean going vessel and not some gaudy pleasure palace/floating hotel/party barge that only sails around the Bahamas/Virgin Islands. The crow's nest/private hot tub tub deck is awesome, also the owner's cabin is very sealed off/private. The owner's idea of having a "massive dinghy"(sorry couldn't help myself) is a great idea. Center console fishing boat, something you could operate yourself, try to catch a big tuna or marlin, take 5 or 6 people on with no crew, man that would be a ton of fun, I love fishing. Never would have thought of doing an industrial loft type of interior, must say I LOVE the look. Its very unique, not gaudy/overdone. Feels like a home, somewhere I could relax in sandals/barefoot in my usual khaki shorts and golf polo or t-shirt. A lot of these mega-yatch interiors are so formal I feel like I need to be dressed with a suit and tie to just sit down at the big table for dinner with my friends.
Wow! This yacht is amazing right from the start of the tour!!!! The design of the outside decks are wonderful.I really like the hot tub snuggled up on the top deck. How many people can be in the master shower???????????? Thanks to the owners for letting see the yacht.Love from Vermont
Love this boat. Original design with the exposed wiring conduits and the almost loft-like feel of the metal beams and use of a kind of "rough" cut wood work. It is sophisticated and VERY cozy and easy to live in. Very cool.
What a beauty especially the interior design as well as the “Crane”.. With that said-I prefer the Bering 77 if for no other reason-No crew needed. Great video once again!!!
Yeah, I saw their review of the bering 77...fell in love with this thing idea of an explorer yacht, it's like a toyota land cruiser, but for the ocean! Now, I got to look into CDM stuff.
Not to everyone's taste. A bit shabby chic. But wonderful laid out yacht Engine room, cabins ,and galley. Congrats to the captain and the crew for keeping it so clean. Thanks again for sharing..
I just found your channel. You BOTH do excellent presentations of each boat you show. Good commentary, videography, tour, details… “what’s in here?”. Excellent!
Amazing Victoria and Rico, What a great Yatch, Just incredible to see you and hear... Weight for it Rico..🤣 Oh The Engine Room is Just AWESOME... Love it.. Those Indirect Lights are a Must Be... ❤
That is an awesome yacht! I'd spend days in that engine room just looking at it. lol. I'm also with Rico on the stereo equipment, I'm into that big time, I would have to figure out every little detail of it and what it sounded like on every level. lol. #InNeedOfMoreSpeakers lol.
