The landscape hasn’t changed much out there in hundreds of years. Stuff grows slow in the desert, some of those trees and shrubs could’ve been there when the Apache and Paiute were. Cooking meat over open fire and smoking tobacco surrounded by that history…I’m jealous
Very rough country and interesting petroglyphs . No Cholla 👍🏻 another great video Brett ! Mules, dogs , cook fire. Coffee ! strong and black every morning for me….get it going, I will order. Thanks 🤠👍🏻
@@BrettVaughnB100 Beautiful Brenda…..doing better, I believe Brett . No cholla, no binoculars, tough footed hounds. I started incognito for reasons….🫣 too many yahoos of late. ready to order strong coffee..👍🤠. Thanks
I like fat Lorrie. I also always like your videos and I enjoyed the drone shots. The area is so beautiful. I am also a coffee fanatic but tend to stay away from Starbucks.
It’s really hard to replace an animal that you knew and had a tight relationship with. I’ve struggled with this a lot. If you keep her and spend a lot of time together perhaps a special bond will happen. She’s not trying to kill you or your dogs so that’s a bonus. Thank you for your amazing journey
The camera doesn't do that place justice I can only imagine how free you must feel thanks for taking us along. Best of luck with the coffee business I bet you gonna do great with cowboy coffee, can't have cowboy without coffee. Till next time safe trails
Kooool petroglyphs. Fat lori isn't spoiled, she's special. Chuckle. Love the Agnes coin, that was beautiful. Keep us posted on the new pack bags. Those look handy...Beautiful Brenda seems to know her feet and the ground. She seems willing enough this ride. Some more miles , she could get it...I like her size, she looks to have hidden power when needed. Yet, fat woods the bommmm chuckle. Great ride ❤
My luck i would not see anyone for months drive down past the sign and when i came back out it would be a S.W.A.T. team waiting on me🤣, really injoy your vids.👍🇺🇸
Thanks for taking us along on these rides. Cool petroglyphs! Beautiful Brenda looks to be doing better. Pretty cool sound when the hounds opened upon that canyon. We are wondering what’s the brand of headlamp you’re wearing? Thanks in advance!
Coffee 😀 someone say coffee!! Coffee is part of my main staple!! When you get that coffee program up and running! I'll be sure to pick some up! And thanks for adventure Trip!
Brett another fascinating video, beautiful country, you have trust in your Mules especially over rocks. I like the petroglyphs on rocks pretty cool. As for Brenda you are teaching her as you are a horse & mule rider. Again RIP Big Agnes-Kid Yuma
Hi. Great Views and the footage from the drone I like a lot. Remembering when I was visiting the four corner states, I guess I would settle in a lower place in the shadow, near to a place with water. And at around 18.20 the rocks look different and quite smooth sometimes- water in that canyon? And some bigger trees...And the fish on the wall - yes there was water. I think that canyon is extremly beautiful. I was told that the Hopi know exactly what that petroglyphs mean. Lots of these were made by the hopi during their ancient journeys around the north american areas. If I remember right, spirals were very important signs. .... and my favorite Coffee is the Utengule from Tanzania🙂Greetings from Germany Chris
Brett you make it look like its easy ! Riding , steering , leading , filming, navigating and minding the dogs all at once you do a Great job ! I can":t help but womder what Beeuteeful Brenda would cost . if you can" t say thats ok.. Wishing you the best on your Coffe Bis ! Thankyou Rob
lol I have had a lot practice .. I think Brenda is about a 6,000.00 dollar mule now .. if she keeps improving I think she would be worth more .. Thanks Rob when we get it going you need to get some
P.S. I told my wife you were trying out Brenda and when I started to watch this video she took my phone away from me so she could check out Brenda....lol.
Hey Brett, love your stuff. Try a longer pack lead with Brenda, i noticed something in the vid. Also Brenda is learning a new life, give her reassurance with a neck scratch and stroke, when she's focused behind her and unsure, give her direction, teach her, She needs to know she can trust you, to be in charge. Thank you for awesome content sir.
Thank you just got through watching your video enjoyed it look like your mule was doing better with the pack mule I like your coin but the canyon you were in was making me a little nervous I was expecting Apache to jump out of any minute LOL
I have said the exact same thing about Starbucks. Although, I'm also not a big fan of their coffee. It's just too bitter. I'm looking forward to you launching a new blend.
Hi I have a book it's called Camping and Woodcraft written by Horace Kephart printed in 1924 with over 400 pages, it tells about everything you need to know about outfitting for a small party and going alone, personal kits, provisions, camp cooking and so much more. From a small boy watching cowboys films I always thought about what it would be like to travel the high country and the open country back in the early days, with your trips it really does give you a sense of how things where. Thanks for the videos
Great ride 👍 Those petroglyphs are really nice Those were very artistic people and were blessed to live in that country hundreds kid years ago Appreciate the memories from those canyons 🙏✝️🇺🇸
Nice ride Brett, love those Petroglyphs. I drink a lot of coffee also with the same view of Starbucks. I have to bite my lip when we drive thru to get a latte for my wife👍🏻
Glad to see you keeping on brother. I like the overall looks of Brenda. She seems willing enough. All animals will try you to start with. She does look to be more at ease with a pack animal behind her, I think she’s looking back to see if the other girl is still there and ok.
Great video. I love seeing the petroglyphs, there were some beauties there. I was imagining that arroyo full of water, what a beautiful spot. Found your channel a couple weeks ago. I'm not a horse/mule person, but I'm a Nortena (Northern NM), and my Mom was born and raised in Cruces. I like watching your adventures- I used to be an avid hiker til covid disabled me...anyway thanks for the entertainment. So glad you and Brenda are getting along, may it remain so.
I try to season my food before I travel, it allows the seasoning to fully wool into the food and meat. It makes it one less season to Carrie. Was your fire starter, cotton balls and Vaseline?
I really enjoy watching your videos. They’re very relaxing. I’ve always had a dream to do what you. Riding on horseback in the wilderness is awesome. Keep making the videos
Great scenery. If you get up to central Utah, visit Nine Mile Canyon which takes off from US 191 in Wellington. Lots of petroglyphs and plenty of room for the mules to walk. There is water in the creek through late Spring, longer some years.
Cool pictographs Bret . Keep alert on the new Mule Brenda. I keep up on beef/pork& horse prices. But I couldn’t believe what Mules are going for . Have a blessed week and remember No Slack Onward on Upward….
Another great video Brett .. enjoyed it much.. I’m thankful your health is holding good for you.. stay active and keep looking Onward and Upward, for that will always be mine and your Watchword.. 👍
the water looks like it really comed down the wash you are rideing in. I really like your saddle would have to ride it for awhile to see if it fit, great video.
I feel I'm missing out on the back country around this area. I'm from outside of Philadelphia and was never exposed to horses. I do get out in a buggy. But it's completely different. I thought I was just turning my machine off when I'm not using it. But I don't get off the beaten paths like you do on a horse. And you have your dogs. All the friends you need.
I grew up in Southern New Mexico and I was wondering if you could show a map with the area that you're going to do we know where it is. Maybe not the exact location but the general area would be great. Thank you for the great videos.
